Hi Mike,Hi
I have received some papers with MoneyClaimOnline. It is for a hospital parking ticket PCN.
Is that the end of the road for me? Should i pay up? Is says 14 days to pay before court.
Hope to here your reply
Thanks
Mike
No, it is not the end of the road unless you lose at the hearing, and not all do, in fact we have a lot of success with defences and hearings. In fact in the light of the current focus of the news this week, I suspect they might find this harder than they planned:

And no it doesn't say '14 days to pay before court'. You have 14 days to acknowledge service online using the MCOL password (make a note of the Gateway ID if using it for the first time!).
DO NOT PUT IN A DEFENCE YET, ONLY ACKNOWLEDGE.
Start your own new thread, once you have read the NEWBIES FAQS thread, you need the section headed 'Small Claim?':

The 'NEWBIES' FAQs thread is right there near the top and that's the forum 'first page' view where you start a new thread, too. We want to help on a thread especially for your case - but don't just start one without first reading the NEWBIES thread section/links on Small Claims defences!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi
Thanks for the reply it is much appreciated.
To put you in the picture, I am registered disabled and on Motability with middle rate care. I have not been able to find my blue badge for a long time. The hospital where my appointment was at, has a very small car park with limited disabled spaces. Because I have lost my badge I usually park as close to the entrance as possible. But, on the day of the appointment the car park was full and I was in severe pain and parked in a vacant disabled bay as I had no other choice, other than miss my appointment.
I have rang the hospital who are of absolutely no help and don't seem to care. I have all my awards for disability as proof that I am disabled but the hospital just said, "you shouldn't have parked their with no blue badge". I could understand if I was able bodied.
I am just in the process of renewing my blue badge so this can't happen again but, it will not sort the problem of too little parking for disabled people at the clinic.0
