PCN NW Ltd. are refusing to lodge my appeal without my address. These are the replies I have sent recently. Am I correct in not sending them the address, my manager whom I discussed this with yesterday seems to think so and believes they only want it so that they can harass me with threatening letters. My only issue is that we seem to be at a stalemate, they will not process the appeal unless I provide them with the address which I am not going to provide. Am I correct in this standpoint?

Dear ,Unfortunately without your address i am unable to raise your appeal.
    Kindest Regards,
    Michelle

    Dear Michelle

Please send any appeal decision to my email address.
As I have sent you evidence the driver of the car was indeed in the staples store at the time that this PCN was issued I do not in any way understand why there are delays in processing this appeal.

As the keeper of the vehicle you have no requirement for my address, you have my name and a verified means of communicating with me. The lack of my address should not prevent you from processing this appeal. I have again attached for your records a copy of the store receipt outlining that the driver was indeed in the store at the time which this notice was issued.
    Kind Regards

to be honest I dont think it really matters

you have the IGNORE option at your disposal, IGNORE is until a legitimate LBC or MCOL arrives, then let the court decide (keep your proof and evidence, plus keep copies of this email exchange) - for 6 years

its an invoice for an alleged debt , one that is disputed , you have the right to a hearing in court in front of a judge, excercise that right and IGNORE them and their debt collectors

even if they heard your appeal , they and the IAS will still likely refuse the 2 appeals, in which case you would still be in IGNORE mode for 6 years (pending a court case)

its not a fair system, we know !

OMG of course they needed your address....never email an appeal without your name and postal address even if it was already stated on the NTK (it's hardly secret, as you say, the DVLA gives it to them for a few pennies). Send it to them and please stop faffing about arguing an email address is enough, it's not. Also read up on the IAS because you need to know you will lose that stage appeal and it may be best NOT to engage. But that is covered in the Newbies thread already, post #3 is all about IAS (and POPLA).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As above .... your address being known to them does not count for any thing ..... they can not send any one round! you will get lots of really sweat letters though.

I am really surprised at the stores attitude .... Stapels have one of the best customer service records on the high street.

    did you ever

"Also write to the CEO of Staples telling him/her that this is a disgraceful way to treat customers and you will not be shopping there again until (i) this spurious charge is dropped and (ii) the parasites are evicted from their car park. "

See if the local / national papers will run a story ..

The CEO/papers letter is the only way that this will end sooner than 6 years .... the reason that you are advised to go through with it all is that should the parkingscum ever decide to take it to court then all the actions you take can be shown to the judge who would in all probability laugh and throw the case out :D

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a way around this.

I have just informed my employer about the situation and been told that the ticket will go to the leasing agent if and when the parking people go to DVLA to find out who is the registered owner. The leasing agent will then send the information to my company along with an invoice for their inconvenience, this will be about £18. The ticket will then be forwarded to me and the £18 deducted from my salary.

Obviously I do not see why I should pay the £18 when I was in no way in the wrong. I was in the store and have the receipt that shows that but as the company will not lodge an appeal I will end up penalised anyway.

    Hi Coupon-mad
I didn't send my address originally as it wasn't on the letter template as a block so I didn't think it was required and then following the advice of Bazster in this thread.

I will send them my address now.

I am trying to find the name and address of the CEO of staples so I can formally complain. I was very disappointed and annoyed at the customer service I received in store from what were basically a bunch of kids. I won't be shopping at Staples again.

Apologies for the previous post which relates to the address and my 'work fine' I had posted before these refreshed to the page

I believe the address can be a valid SERVICE ADDRESS, doesnt necessarily have to be a home address

so one where you can obtain your mail easily and promptly

by all means complain strongly to the landowner

    Hi All

Unsurprisingly it seems my appeal has been rejected, apparently on the same grounds that the PCN was issued that I was not in the store. The evidence of my receipt detailing that I was in the store has been ignored.

It says I have to appeal through the IAS, I'm going to do this just to follow through with the process but I expect this to be rejected as well.

I've just heard back from Staples too, apparently there is nothing the can/ or are willing to do about the ticket and recommend I contact the BPA.
