There are people on here with larger - can't think of any off hand except Cotswold Accountant but she's gone disappeario
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Second what GG says
Tilly's *was* a large mortgage - but she has slammed it right down. But there are others - just maybe not prolific posters - so you are not alone

I wouldn't worry too much about your large mortgage, as Shangaijimmy says, it means you're earning more! As a comparison, your mortgage is more than double ours. On the other hand, the bank wouldn't even lend us that much money, so you're doing something right

We've overpaid since our first mortgage so I'm thinking were seen as good lenders. Also for 3 years before moving to the forever home we paid the mortgage amount of the forever home to make sure we could afford it. I had the whole spreadsheet % ed up for increased bills and everything and I'm happy to say it was pretty accurate! This meant we had money to buy stuff and do the garden etc when we moved in.

Hi Sque, another large mortgage holder here (£343000 ) at the start of the journey.
Starting early must make a huge difference down the line but it does feel like the equivalent of grains of sand on the beach at times
