Well, screwed the pooch this month! I overspent and dipped into my savings on three separate occasions.

Not feeling too chuffed about it all but pay day tomorrow, a fresh start and I will do better.

Spoke too soon. I missed a payment on my credit card like a proper numpty so broke the 0% terms and conditions as well as earning a late payment charge. The h3ll is wrong with me right now?

I've begged for the charge to be waived so will see next month. In the meantime I have used savings to pay off balance in full hopefully avoiding an interest charge double whammy.

    Current situation:
    Savings: 2308.45
    0% credit card: 0.00.

Camping holiday this weekend so savings bound to reduce even further. I can cope, I have fallen off the wagon big style but I will climb back on

hi I am so sorry Brallaqueen. Can you set up a direct debit so it goes out without you needing to okay it?

It is easy to forget I did it once on a so called bargain from Debenhams which ended up costing a fortune once I realised that I forgot to pay as a dd hadn't been set up!

Keep at it you are doing really well. It's things like this that teach us new lessons. Now when this happens it is an accident and unusual not ordinary as it was in the pre MSE days.

Stay happy petal and keep up the good work! :T

Until I joined here I had an extortionate CC which I kick myself about now. I'm with Savingwannabe it's unusual now to be ripped off by CCs so don't be hard on yourself. Hope all is well with you (apart from the naughty CC!)

Trying to keep this posting habit going.

The bank kindly refunded the late payment fee so that is good.
Got a small bonus at work which has helped repair the damage.

So, a step back but by no means back to square one. Progress is being made!
Anything I have left has gone back into the pot already so current situation stands as follows:

    Emergency savings: 2400
    0% Credit card: 0.00

I've taken the mortgage off for now, its going down very slightly due to monthly payments but it splits my focus a bit and I need to be concentrating on savings first

And on a really positive note, DC has opened his first high interest account for his savings! I could jump for joy, I really could!

Still trying to keep this posting habit going!
Top and tailed 63.00 this month, due to various expenses and a pending holiday. Still, it is something! I have funded everything from wages not savings so I am happy. I am still putting that 50 away regularly as well.
    Savings looking steady at £2513.00.
