Whenever I gave out my mobile number on these competition sites, I then end up getting calls selling stuff so I don't trust them any more.0

If a person can sit at home on the computer for eight a hours a day entering competitions, why can they not sit on a computer in an office working eight hours a day? Thereby contrinuting to society etc...

If it's possible to make far more than minimum wage all tax free from a hobby that can be done at home and at leisure why on earth would they want to work in an office where income is taxable, hours are fixed and some degree of travelling and/or expense would probably be involved as well?0 -

I don't have health problems myself but I always think that people who say this really must never have experienced the ups and downs of disability/chronic health conditions.2018 wins: Aspinal of London jewellery box, Boudavida gym outfit, HP Pavilion laptop, The List party tickets, All Points East festival tickets, Kiehls moisturiser, By Terry cc serum, Nars Liquid Bronzer, Benefit highlighter, Nars illuminator, Fresh advanced lip trio set, Cetaphil sample set, signed copy of My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent0 -

To contribute to a society that you take from?
Hospitals, Schools, Libraries, Welfare System
All paid for by people that take the onerous task of having taxable income, with fixed hours and travelling expenses. It's called growing up and getting a job!0 -

OR someone that has experienced it, recovered, and got back on the horse. Not, sat on the benefits lifestyle indefinitely, living off an old ailment...0 -

You have to be either very lucky or put in the hours to even occasionally manage to make min wage out of this. Or am I wrong are there people making more than min wage from comping? Doubtful yeah maybe if you win 50k from Itv then you are just a luckbox but clearly in the right 'hobby' :rotfl: lol :T
Min wage is only £6.50 an hour (taxable) worth about £4.50 after tax and ni - so just one small win worth £100 covers 15 hours of minimum wage before tax and 22 after it.0 -

I think you will find that there is plenty of taxation that has nothing to do with taxable income and that "not working" doesn't mean you don't have a healthy taxable income either (which does not have to be benefit related).0
