    Hello lovely Nora,

I've popped in, hoping for some cake, or at least a little custard cream and there's just crumbs and empty cups here! :(

I'm assuming you're busy working on glass painting, awkward skirt making and other craft works. I hope that's all going well, especially as Spring has almost sprung so there's likely to be lots of lovely craft fairs where you can maximise your income.

I did have some birthday cake from you left from my birthday, but I'll just pop it away to look after it for when you're back!

    See you soon, hopefully.

    Hellooooo, Lovelies!

Sorry for the radio silence - Rosa was spot on; I's been doing the work and earn thing and not the communicate and share thing. No excuses - I am sorry *hangs head*

I am lovely, thank you! Soooo, chocolate and peanut butter cookies, you say? *sniffs the air*

So yes, I've been off and doing some crafting and lots of thinking. And I'm almost certain I might be nearly ready to almost share... oh, ok, stop it with the doe-eyed thing! Here goes:

As some of you might know, I've been looking for another job for a while now. I like what I do, but it doesn't earn me enough. So I'd been looking for either a full time job (I work part time) or another part time job - but no success.

And then it struck me - I'd forgotten my original plan; work my posterior off on my own business and use the p/t job to cover the absolute essentials so I'd have both security and breathing space.

Honestly, it's such a simple plan that I'm not sure how I lost sight of it. But I did. And somehow I let my focus drift from a business that I love, to a job that's nice but is deliberately simple. And then I got all worked up because the job didn't bring in enough money - forgetting it was never meant to. I didn't need a second job - I already had one!

So, I'm doing more on the craft side and have some insane plans for getting my stuff into shops etc. And I'm parting with some things that will give me a little financial security in the meantime - and a little capital to invest back into the business.

In reality it's a lot more complicated than that - but basically, I'm here, I'm sorry, and now I want those chocolate counters....

Mwah! to you all - can't tell you how loved I felt logging on and finding you all here waiting.

<Sidles in and pops some chocolate cornflakes on the side as I've already inhaled the pralines> :o

You're bbaaaaaccckkkk! So lovely to see you but really good to hear why you've been away. I've had the same realisation recently, that I went part time to give me some breathing space to create a better long term life for myself. Isn't it good to have that realisation arrive back to where it should be!!!

Good luck with everything. I'm in the same area as you, so if I can ever help you just say!
