Awww, thanks Twiggy. Mwah!Hi Nora! Welcome back! Pleased you're plans are back on track! Good luck with it all x
You're in the area? How lovely! *hides chocolate stash*;)MuffinTops wrote: »<Sidles in and pops some chocolate cornflakes on the side as I've already inhaled the pralines>
You're bbaaaaaccckkkk! So lovely to see you but really good to hear why you've been away. I've had the same realisation recently, that I went part time to give me some breathing space to create a better long term life for myself. Isn't it good to have that realisation arrive back to where it should be!!!
Good luck with everything. I'm in the same area as you, so if I can ever help you just say!

In money-related news, I've cancelled my tv licence! Well, more that I've given notice not to renew when it runs out at the end of next month.
I'm so excited about this change this move - though between you and me, it's really because I want to make better use of my spare time, but have don't have the will power to avoid slumping in front of the box.
I've also been inspired by Aaleigha's decluttering and sorted out all my clothes, shoes etc. New piles for ebay and the charity shop - and a full bin of all the really tatty stuff, and numerous holey socks!
But now it's time for bed - friends over tomorrow, and handing over a commission I've totally fallen in love with but like the payment even more.
Night you bunch of crazy lovely people!

Goodnight Nora, goodnight Aaleigha, goodnight MuffinTops... *continues Waltons moment* :rotfl:
Well done on your decluttering. I'm halfway through the Marie Kondo book and she's terrifying _pale_ :rotfl:I am considering googling her picture so that I can make a small cardboard cutout and prop it against the book to look at me like 'you don't need that' ...

I've just looked her up - loving what I've read. And have you seen her youtube video of how to fold an underwear drawer? Aside from the fact that my knickers and bras are at least 8 times the size of the iddy biddy ones she's working with, it's brilliant.RosaBernicia wrote: »Well done on your decluttering. I love decluttering - which is odd as I can be such a hoarder at times. But I've said it before (in the other diary), I think we have to be in the right place emotionally to let things go.
On that, I'm going to declutter some tea and chocolate - form an orderly queue lovelies!

oooh a large mug of tea and a k!t-k4t would go nicely here please!Must use my stash up!0

Luxury spiced hot chocolate? I may close my diary and move in here!!!!
You absolutely need to hide your chocolate stash! Although I am going to be trying to cut back to 0 on how much chocolate I have and replace it with healthier alternatives.
As much as I love decluttering - and I have enough to last me for a long time - I also need to acknowledge a sadness when a bulk of things go
I'm very sad like that!

I will be looking on YouTube once I've finished the book - she does make a lot of sense, and I love the idea of thanking things for work well done, I guess it's just another reminder to be grateful.

The idea of thanking things and the giver really gels with me - and makes me feel a whole lot less guilty about moving gifts on.
Yep - this is the diary to party* in!MuffinTops wrote: »Luxury spiced hot chocolate? I may close my diary and move in here!!!!

*snuggle under a duvet with a spiced hot chocolate.
I don't think it's sad to be sad about the loss of something - no matter what it is or how it's been 'lost'. I have so much stuff, it's a bit daft - but I can't bring myself to get rid of everything at once because it's so overwhelming. So I do a bit at a time (and hope I don't re-clutter in between!).

Howdy there Lovelies!
I'm in a total funk (I said FUNK - what are you like?!).
I have lots to do to avoid spending, I have lots to put on ebay to help with the general lack of funds and I really need to sort all sorts of things out to help with my budgeting.
And I can't be arsicled to do any of it.
In fact, I slept through most of the weekend - I know. Lots of time wasted, but I was in the bad mood of all bad moods and I'm a great believer that if you can't work it off (and I couldn't) then sleep it off.
Now, normally I'd write a big old list of things I needed to get done, ignore most of them and depress myself beyond the basic blues for not having achieved anything. Clearly not my finest plan...
So, today I'm going to try something new. Instead of telling you about my plans today, I'm going to come back later and tell you what I actually got done. I'm interested to see whether being accountable is more motivating than planning...
See you back here later!

so glad to have you back - also visiting your diary might help - on the good days we can get our pom poms out and on the not so good ones the tissues and hot chocolate on good days of course you get to put squirty cream and marshmallows in for the effort - you will need the extra sugar

I like the idea of coming back and saying what has been achieved - I am like you a planner then I cant get myself in gear to complete the tasks - I am going to make a list of what I would like to achieve during the week then I will cross things off and and celebrate what I have achieved - I am going to put my list on the fridge I think
for me the last couple of weeks have been a disaster I need to get my head down and move forward - I will be starting today
so how about we report to each other what todays achievements are - see you about 7pm
and like me you HAVE done it do we can both do it again we just need the right mindsetEmergency fund £10,000
