Morning Lovelies!
Bit of a quick dash this morning as lots to do...
It's shaping up to be a gorgeous day here - my favourite sort, where it's still a bit chilly, but the sun is shining and we have blue(ish) skies.
So, first few jobs of the day done, and I'm settling down to brekkie before I get on with the day. Today I'm finishing off a skirt I've made for the friend coming up tomorrow. It's actually her Christmas present, but my word it's been a trial!
I'm relatively ok at making skirts - but this one has sheer (georgette) sari material as a top layer, and it clearly hates me. No, really. First attempt was stretched, second attempt I managed to put a hole through, third attempt I discovered the embroidered band I'd transferred from the original sari to the skirt hem, wasn't straight or the same size from beginning to end.... so, fourth and final attempt is today.... *cracks knuckles*
See you on the other side!

Hello!
Did you all have a good weekend? Mine was lovely, and rounded off a week of birthday celebrations (there's still cake if anyone wants some?).
Is 'habit-walking' a thing, do you think? I ask, because I've essentially just 'habit-walked' into Tescos and done a shop I wasn't planning or prepared for.
I needed petrol, and they're the cheapest in my area at the moment - and it was a downhill slide from there! Luckily, the shop has consisted largely of things I need/will use - but it certainly wasn't the cheapest shop I could've done, especially with three other supermarkets, including Lidl, in the same area and truth be told, it's given me a bit of a slap to realised how easy it is to slip into auto pilot if I'm not more careful. In the meantime, my challenge is to work on my food plans and packed lunches to make sure I don't waste any of it!
To start, lunch is soup with some fresh bread I'm just baking at the moment... domestic bliss!
Then I'm settling down to some glass painting - about time I pulled my finger out on maximising any potential income from my craft.
Have a good un.

oh yes not just habit walking
car driving - mine only seems to know carparks near shops
and of course dog walking they ALWAYS go past shops
glad you are starting to focus on your craft I bought a lovely lamp for my daughter and had it painted in her fav colours - its a tall rectangular prism of frosted glass and that is painted with stylised flowers - beautiful
hope you are finding it relaxing and as theraputic as samosaing carrier bags

Hello lovely Nora,
I've popped in, hoping for some cake, or at least a little custard cream and there's just crumbs and empty cups here!
I'm assuming you're busy working on glass painting, awkward skirt making and other craft works. I hope that's all going well, especially as Spring has almost sprung so there's likely to be lots of lovely craft fairs where you can maximise your income.
I did have some birthday cake from you left from my birthday, but I'll just pop it away to look after it for when you're back!
See you soon, hopefully.
