Ya ebay is great iv got a box or 2 of stuff around 20-30 items to put on next month a lot is new if i get £100-200 after fees will be something nice to have something like that that as a small income as well

House jobs don't even get me started haha
today i found out my loft floor would cost me £400 and velux windows are 200 each quickly becoming a over spend like grand designs without the grand bit lol

Even if you overspend Lil, it will be fabulous when it's all done! :)

  • :) You've made me feel a bit better about spending money now - on loft insulation.. I didn't qualify on any of the energy saving schemes so splurged £55 on B&Q sale on loft insulation and planning to get that installed (myself) early October - hoping that it'll save some money on heating this winter (current insulation absolutely useless, 3 inches of light, fluffy fibreglass stuff) ..as long as I don't fall through the ceiling by accident putting it on :)

This is just the floor the ill be doing the roof insulation and boarding myself as this will be my winter project :]

Just get a board to kneel on when your up there youll be ok :] let me know how you get on once you done it

Great news on the Mortgage offer getting sorted.
And that all the major work will soon be done :J
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Lucky! I just updated my status! Looks like we have both had high spend months but yours is much more sensible than mine!!! Don't worry about the overspend because your reduced mortgage payments will pay for that in no time:0)

Excellent news on mortgage going through - are you going to wrap the £150 spare into an OP each month? :D

Your Velux windows sound like a bargain - I'm going to need 2 of those on the extension and was seeing prices of £500 each . Can I be nosey and ask where you got them from? (PM if you prefer),

Going great guns on the work, hope bathroom is wrapped up pdq.

Bet you can't wait to move in!

The extra £150 will indeed be put into EF which anything over 10k is for overpaying

I read a lot about velux windows over the last few weeks i went for fakro ones the guy only had 2 for sale and cheapest i could find anywhere else was £320 each wasn't a company or anything so saved £200 or so on them

all depends on size make ect tho have you thought about size ?

MY mums ones where £280 each for velux inc flashing kit

    check out ebay

Ya cant wait still few weeks off but am very close now :]
End of next month should all be finished and furnished
