Fab news on the mortgage. And love the tiles.
When we renovated here I underspent on the tiles so I could fence the field - and - I do regret that. The fencing is fabulous - but I look at the tiles every day and I wish I had gone over our budget and spent more. So, your small budget overspend seems very worthwhile to me :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks watty i hope you are well

Ya that's it isn't it the slightly cheaper tiles are ok but hopefully stepping things up a bit will add a bit more of the special factor.

This house will also be a home for the next 10-15 years so spending money on it now will only make it more desirable when the time comes to move on so hopefully i wont have to do much

and my compromise is not having a garage built this year haha

Fab floor tiles Lucky - are you having matching coloured grout? I had no idea it existed until my fitter/tiler did mine (similar to yours) and is a stunning look :)
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18
  • Thanks guys :]

Hi ali The grout will be a dark grey i like the fact tiles can be seen individually when the grout is lighter than the tiles

You know you need to show me a pic of yours now hehe ;p

Still waiting for this mortgage offer grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Update time

    Waiting on this remortgage grrrr

Bathroom is tiled looking great another few days should be finished then can get to work on the loft so maby 2 weeks left before its finished

Iv upped the EF to 17k once on the new mortgage this will be 4.7 years of payments which fills me with joy
It may not stay at 17k tho as furniture is expensive haha

the house fund at 6k will take a hit of 4k next week after paying for kitchen and doors and loft materials

So lots of bits going on currently just need it all to come together sharpish
