Just renewed with Zog for another year, another very happy customer. Hope they get more customers but maintain their current level of service!

I think that would be hard to do. Therefore I hope their customers stay at a profitable, yet manageable level.

We've been with Zog this past year and I've been really pleased with their customer service. Meter readings are easy to give and they reply to emails very quickly. Daligas would be cheaper but having read the feedback on them, I suspect we'll stay with Zog.

I am also pleased with the service I have received with Zog. Lets hope they keep it up.

Joined Zog a few months ago thanks to seeing the good feedback on this forum.

We had a nightmare switching to NPower. Eventually we gave up with NPower who were less than useless and joined Zog who have been nothing but a pleasure to deal with.

We don't use a lot of gas but we're paying 1/3 less than we were previously with Scottish Gas and we're much happier to be paying a smaller, more customer orientated company like Zog. Can only but recommend them.

I've just moved out so I had to send my final readings. What a difference between Zog and First Utility. With Zog I received an email confirming my account had been closed, and a final statement 2 hours later! What's more, the £100 credit had been transferred to my account. So that's all, everything sorted within 2 hours!
With First Utility, well I guess I'll find on my direct debit day! I've heard nothing back yet after 6 days. They also owe me money so they should really be quick to give it back to me like Zog were.
Once I move into my new home I'll be choosing Zog because I know they've been first class all the way from opening to closing. Again, I hope this doesn't change as they grow.

Zog energy - about 5,000 customers to handle

First Utility - over 1,000,000 customers to handle

I wonder if that has anything to do with your experiences?

    Of course it does...
But the reason for good/bad customer service doesn't matter, and isn't in question. (but if it was, a supplier chooses how many staff they want to employ to deal with their customers, so size shouldn't matter)
This is a Zog feedback forum. My comment shared an experience of very good customer service from Zog, and it shows how their customer service compares to a rival cheap (relatively) small supplier.

To follow up on this, First Utility took their full direct debit payment as usual despite over a week's notice, and after a week finally acknowledged me with an email letting me know they were processing my request but a final bill could take 4-6 weeks to prepare. So I'm not sure when I'll be getting my money back.
Anyway, it's fair to say that even if First Utility's customer service is pretty much in line with the rest of the industry, Zog are way ahead.
