Thanks Watty
I've actually been reading back through your diary for inspiration today...
Horrid next door neighbour decided to have a bit of a go at me earlier... She is quite an aggressive woman and she dislikes the fact we have a wood burner as she 'hates the smell'... She started ranting at me whilst I was putting DS in the car earlier. I put my big girl knickers on and told her very firmly that it is perfectly legal and we are burning seasoned logs therefore there is no issue, so hard lines. She swore at me and flounced off... Sigh. Some people. xMFW

Love the smell of wood burning, it's all cosy and fuzzy............probably jealousDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0

In all the OP planning, I hadn't factored in the effect of our normal monthly payments on the mortage! Some quick sums shows that we pay off around £380.62 in capital per month. Multiply that by 12, and you get .... £4,567.44. Shortfall dealt with:D:D:j:j:rotfl::rotfl:
This is fantastic :money:atypicalblonde wrote: »Horrid next door neighbour decided to have a bit of a go at me earlier... £3,500 sat ready and waiting in savings to cross off the first on the list of 'Operation Five Figures in 2016'... Would it be very very sad to type up the letter to the bank now enclosing a cheque all dated 1st January...:rotfl::rotfl::o
Now I just need to figure out how to do strike through on the iPad so I can actually cross things off said list, any ideas folks?
Easy dinner of southern fried chicken and chips, with a glass of wine... We're reet posh us
Have a good one folks xxMFW

You should be able to type the strikethrough code manually.

Very naughty diarist checking in here... I hope you have all had a great Christmas
Not a lot to report here other than... We have been to look at a house  which we have fallen in love with. Major advantages are...
- detached
- semi rural location
- much better layout than we currently have
- garage - we currently have no outside storage so rent a unit for DH business parts. This would save us a packet
- also, due to mega OPs this year, we would only need to add around £15k to our mortage to get it, so we are still way way ahead on where we were this time last year.
Need to take some time to really think it over in next few days before committing one way or another. Thinking is no mean feat at present due to non-sleeping mini ATBs - I was cleaning up sick at 1am:o:eek::o
I promise not to be such a stranger. Best wishes all, ATB xxMFW

Ooh, the new house sounds amazing! We only have the garage (hope to add detatched/semi-rural when we move), but it's super handy.
Good luck with the decision.Hope the little ones get better soon!
