I see Lidl have bought out their own version of chanel no5 for valentines gift ideas. I had a quick whiff and it does smell a bit like it. I wonder what women think if their partner gives them the Lidl versions?

I was in Lidl today, and I have to confess despite being a MSE devotee I have never tried the Lidl fragrances until today. OMG the one they call I think it was "Madam Glamour" is very very like a chanel perfume. I thought it had the warmth of No 5 But from what I see since I came home and hit the laptop they claim it is nearer Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle. I beg to differ:D It smells just like No 5. It will never ever have the staying power of Chanel ( I love how you can spray it and for days you can still smell it on what you wore that day several days later) however at Lidl's price , I just say spray away.
My own loves go from the cheapest to the OMG did i really spend that on a smell, also they are very old school and somewhat a bit tacky in the snobby world of perfume preferences ( Come on ladies, face it, there is nought like when you are being complimented on you perfume by saying "Thank you it's %^bougan* by "pretentious ar$holE" larf is how brave would we be to say "Thank you it's Al$d% by Pr£m$%k"

Okay's here are my loves don't care if they are posh or new I just love the smell.

Coty L'aimant..... so nice and comforting, warm bath, fresh bedding, having done a nice exfoliating body scrub and moisturise.

Rive Gauche..... Takes me back to 1980's when my first child was born, Bryan Ferry has a lot to answer for.

Anyone remember Gingham? By Innoxa. Delish.

Je Reviens, class in a glass. Nuff said.

Chanel No 5 what can I say.

My list could go on and on

Any and and I do mean any Guerlain perfume, OMG L'Heure Bleue I bet that's God favourite perfume.

On saying all that my favourite scents are..........

The smell of my sons hair when I demand to kiss his head ( He is 26 years old.):o

Night scented Stock " Plant" OMG why has no one used this as a perfume?

Has anyone ever ever managed to capture the scent of the night air in Scotland, around November ( Not on Guy Fawkes Night) I have no idea why it smells awsome but it does and it is fantastic.:D

My mum used to adore Rive Gauche, but it also started smelling weird on her. It coincided with the start of the menopause so she wondered if her skin chemistry has changed.

BTW does anyone know of a site where you can put in perfumes you like and it tells you what perfumes notes or groups you like? I hate most perfumes out there, but really love the ones I do like. I wish there a way to find out what I should look for so I don't waste my time when perfume shopping.

My favourite is Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture. That's getting saved for my ball in April though.
My fave everyday perfume is the Simply Be Fragrance. Smells identical to Lady Million which I love but cannot afford. Doesn't last as long so I tend to wear more of it and then don't realise how much I have on until I take my hoodie off and it reeks of the stuff :D
For special occasions I also love Angel but I'm banned from wearing it round my mate as she hates it :D
I also love for day perfume pretty much anything by Anna Sui- ive got a few of hers- and a few of the Cool Water for women range that ive picked up in sales at the Perfume Shop.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Im currently wearing Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure Havane. Smells like an even more aromatic Dunhill Aromatic pipe tobacco. So delish.

Also loving TF Jasmin Rouge, 4160 Tuesday Evil Max and Juliette has a gun Fiction Oil.

Currently looking for something with a big tuberose hit. I have Heeley Bubblegum Chic but it's a tad sweet.

Loving the Chanel exclusives as well. Tried Bois des Iles and Coromandel today. Both lush.

My favourite perfume ever is Roberto cavalli. I absolutely adore the scent. I also love Calvin Klein eternity, Vera wang glam princess and my favourite bargain scents are the body shop smoky rose and avon scentini ones.

Next did a forever love perfume which I loved to bits but it was discontinued and I can't get hold of a bottle anywhere. Gutted as it was so me :-( I wish next would bring it back!

Loved Gingham and all the Innoxa stuff. Adored Helena Rubinstein too. My other fave was Havoc by Mary Quant. Oh, and Sea Jade by Yardley which I spent half of my first week's wage on! The only 70's perfume I couldn't bear was Tweed. Smelled like cats wee.
I wear Rive Gauche, Gucci Flora, Gucci Guilty, Marc Jacob Daisy and DKNY but my absolute favourite is Opium. I've not bought it but a tester of Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood was lovely too.
  • Elie Saab Le Perfume is absolutely gorgeous. I also love Kenzo Flower and my favourite winter perfume is Angel...too sweet to wear in the summer so for me its defo a winter perfume and finally Marc Jacobs Daisy
