I applied for this last week & didn't get accepted. I'm absolutely gutted as it would have been absolutely perfect for my current situation. I could probably do it for at least 20 hours a week too!
Does anyone know if you can apply again? I'm 99.9% sure I got all the questions right, so I'm really not sure why I didn't get accepted.Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Like most the guys above have said, most the time you don't get accepted it's because of spelling & grammar. I was sure i had answered everything perfectly, but then when someone else checked over my answers for me (after i had received a rejection) i realised i hadn't answered the questions quite so well after all.
You can apply again, but i'm not sure whether they're still looking to recruit UK employees.

I'm terrytibbs wife, and I applied to AQA for the first time last week and found out today I didn't get accepted
bit gutted as I thought I had answered the questions quite well - I was also surprised when someone I know told me they didn't answer all their questions but still got accepted.
I want to re-apply so fingers crossed.0 -
Hiya everyone. I just want to thank everyone for posting on this board as I have just found out that I have been accepted. :T
I applied a couple of weeks ago and received a rejection email. I re-applied last week and received an email today saying I got in. So please don't give up if you get rejected at first!0 -
Ooh, I have my introduction tomorrow with my SR. Very excited - can't wait to get started0

Well i guess i'll add me to the list.
I've just popped them an e-mail asking for an application, So i'm right at the beginning of the application process.
I appreciate that it's going to take a while to get a reply but i don't mind that,I have a 9-5 job and plenty to keep me going in the (inevitably) nervous time it's going to take to receive the application pack.0 -
Best of luck misspixie!
At least you know roughly how long it'll take now, thats half the issue really.
You can slice some more pie in the mean time0 -
Well I got rejected late last week, so had a bit of a sulk then on sunday sent off for another application, heard today that I passed hurrah!
It couldn't come at a better time, have been off work ill for 4 months and even when I go back will only be able to go back part time(and me being the main breadwinner that is not a good thing) so I can top up my income a bit with this.
Won't be anywhere near what I was earnig before but should be able to keep our heads above water.:j
Thank you all for listening tomy moaning about my last test was a bit stressed out.
Does anyone know is self employed work counts towards the 30 hours a week for tax credits purposes?
Also I have no printer just now, do you think a digital photo of my signature on for the contract would work?:beer:0 -
I'm doing mine as i type eeeek
I need to check my spg and then will send it off but i'm nervous eeeee0 -
Congratulations sparklewing!
I'm not sure about the self-employment question - I've only just got into it so I need to find this out myself.
As for the contract - I myself took a photo of my signature and added that in to the contract. However, I photoshopped the area around it so it looked whiter than the slighly gray paper colour you get when you take a photo. I just upped the brightness and contrast
In other news - I am quite worried about my first review, are they really very strict?0
