  • If it helps, last year he was earning only £125 per week, working part time. Now he is working over 30 hours a week earning £250 per week.

OP, you shouldn't really post on here, They defend people in the wrong just because they claim benefits. Totally one sided.

That's a new one...this forum is usually being accused of been full of benefit bashers!:rotfl:
  • Well i'm not one for bashing benefits, but I believe if someone is taking the !!!! and receiving what they shouldn't be then I would rather taken action!

I support benefits if it's for the right reason.

You are absolutely right and all agree with you, the issue is whether he indeed is claiming fraudulently. I think we are running out of possibilities though, so you might very well be right. You do know now though that he isn't claiming for his children, so leaves claiming he is earning less than he is? There is still maybe a possibility that he is receiving back payments, although I wouldn't have thought that would be regular payments, but still, who knows.

Another possibility? He has moved in with someone with children and kept this secret from your partner?

Its your girlfriend who needs to be careful as having mail sent to her address for someone else will lead to a compliance check and they have means of finding this out. she will be the one done for fraud.
Tax credit payments can be random i have all sorts of random payments every time i ring up to make a change. Doesnt mean a thing.

You've been checking his statements for an ENTIRE YEAR????

Why don't you contact the bank or just mark the envelope RETURN TO SENDER - ADDRESSEE UNKNOWN and pop it back into the post box?
