How on Earth does anyone ever win on Twitter!!

  • I've been wondering if twitter's worth the effort too. Several thousand retweets and not a single win. Yes they're usually quick and easy to enter but the sheer volume of them is very time consuming. I might just stick to non social media comps, I think the competition is just too high so the odds are stacked against you.

set up a bot, there's quite a few people who have numerous bots entering

this is not advice to do it but how some people do this to enter comps automatically under numerous aliases, it's cheating

  • I have about 17.700 tweets and to be honest not had that many wins, but its so quick to RT. I have to say I had more wins when I first started but none this year!

I'm quite happy to start mentioning a few people if anyone wants to do the same? anything to perhaps increase chances? or experiment?

Need some comping friends on Twitter as I never have anyone to tag haha my handle is Fish_brain07 - feel free to follow me :) and I will re follow

  • If they don't pick a random entry then I guess the number of twitter followers you have would make a big difference to who they pick to win.
I guess they want someone who will tweet to a ton of people not just someone with a couple of hundred followers?

    Just a thought! :-)
  • I've won 20 twitter comps but only 3 this year, don't blog or have many followers and don't often even tweet the company a personalised msg just hit RT. I've just set up lists for each day of the week and added the companies who always run comps like freebiefriday so I can just go through my list each day :)
Comp Wins on Twitter to Date: 20 Prizes!
    £2015 in 2015: £2193 :j
    £2016 in 2016: £2135.14
    Savings Fund : £2100/£10,000
  • How do companies that say, get over 1,000 RT's as entries actually sort and fairly pick a winner?

I've been tweeting away since 2009 & only ever had 3 wins, & one of them never turned up. Two of them were quite good prizes but what the hell they were I just can't remember :p I probably wouldn't bother but they're so easy to enter ....

I can't remember the last time I won on Twitter and have only ever had small prizes - fish slice, shower gel, that type of thing. I do far better with FB. Still RT loads though but don't blog or brown nose.
