Query Debit On Account

Hi, looking for advise. I have a debit from a store I do know that I visited on the stated day but amount I think is more than i spent. It was a foodstore hunted for receipt and can find it. This store has a bonus scheme card which was swiped would by phoning them quoting the card number be able to tell me the amount spent. I've read about cashback being added and you don't actually get the cash.......

Many thanks in advance

The bonus scheme might be able to tell you the amount spent - but it might only tell you the number of points earned - OK a rough idea of spend but not exact.

And if the store charged you for an item you didn't buy you'd probably still get the points on it so it might not help anyway.
  • But I'm thinking there's maybe 20/30 bucks of difference 👎

Did you request any cashback at the checkout?

If you suspect cashback has been added but you did not ask for any then ring your bank, they should be able to tell you if there was any cashback requested on the transaction.

  • If cash back was added and you didn't ask for it but entered your PIN for the amount that debited your account, you'll have a hard time disputing the transaction with the store or your bank.
