Halifax Paper Bank Statements

We urgently require 3 months of paper bank statements.
As Halifax Reward current account customers, who opted for paper free, we notice we can order these online, but not sure how long these take to be delivered.

If we visit branch tomorrow, what are the chances of getting originals printed in branch? Has anyone does this with Halifax?

2-3 days last year when I needed one.

Thanks. I guess they don't do them in branch then?

Don't know, but my need wasn't "urgent" so I didn't look in to that.

I wouldn't know if branch could do an 'actual' statement, or whether it'd just be a mini-statement...the kind you used to be able to get from an ATM (and maybe still can?).
  • They could probably provide copy statements but that is not original - but then again the ones that you could order might turn out to exactly the same.

Why not look into it ahead of urgent times?

The branch MAY be able to print off your last 3 months transactions, then stamp it to authenticate it but this is very often not acceptable as a replacement for 3 months actual bank statements in the correct format. This would depend on who you need to provide them to.

Generally, in my experience, copy statements take 7 - 10 working days to arrive.

In a branch they can print off 3 months worth of statements for you.
They shouldn't stamp it for you, and there is no need to because it will be in a valid format.

What's it for? Most organisations will accept a PC-printed statement if it's printed either from a PDF or (in the case of Halifax) via the bank's statement-printing link (rather than just a screen print).

Check with the company requiring the statements and if they will accept something printed off and stamped by your local branch.

If not wait for them to arrive in the post and advise the company accordingly.
