Afternoon all
LW and Piggers hope you both feel better soon.
Mum is improving, they still don't know if it was dehyrdation or an infection causing the probelm, she will be staying in again tonight.
JTTOU thanks for the offer, I have the magazine from a neighbour but may need to look at one or two online so will email if I do.
Zero flying, just doing a wash over at the neighbours, when it is finished I'll start another one going. Different neighbour today, don't want to be cheeky.
Honey great you have had shappoing day, I love that feelingThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hello again. Mrs MP, what a great idea with the curtain strings. However too late for me. As they're gathered as I want now and secured at the ends, I'm just going to cut off the excess. Was something bothering me today as well as HB.
Dogs walked and spoiled rotten by farmer's granddaughters, long chat with the farmer had (think I bored him silly, but I don't see that many people!) and just having a cuppa now.
Won't get a chance to get out in the garden now as DH is on his way home from the paid stuff, so I need to make myself look human as we're going out for Sunday lunch.
Catch you all on the new thread.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Genius Mrs MP! When I take them down for washing and let the strings out I'll retie them afterwards in the middle when I put them back up. I just knew a Flylady would have the answer! Thank you.
Mr HB is currently taking the dead smoke alarm down and putting the new one (bought yesterday in the bargain-carp-store) up. I am hearing a series of swearwords so it looks as though something about it isn't quite right. I told him if it proved difficult it should be left until another day but it appears he's ignoring that. Testing them was on my list earlier this week and all of them on the bottom layer had flat batteries or didn't work at all despite new batteries being inserted. *oops*Better is good enough.0 -
Throat is looking beautiful.. all blistered and red.. again..

One lot of marmalade made; 2 lots of oranges have gone through stage 1 (ie cooking) and I have one lot still to start on.
I have also dug over the unplanted bit of the 'allotment' bed in the hope that frost will kill exposed roots of weeds (inc hairy bittercress and I have already taken two bucketfuls of that and flung it in the green bin:eek:)
been to Morries for sugar and cat litter and got some fresh fish fillets - pack of 2 whoopsied to 59p so I bought 2 packs and left two packs for another person.

Elastic I wish to goodness I could get into our loft; I'd have a flippin' field day up there, I'm certain! I am absolutely convinced there's still a tonne of trash up there, though Mr LW has dumped loads of carp from up there over the years (we even used to have a lawnmower stored up there!!)
I'm an advocate of the motto "If in doubt, turf it out".:rotfl:
Mr LW is putting up with my choice of CDs because my tinnitus is driving me nuts, and having them on blocks the worst of it; bless him, he's so far volunteered to listen to Ultravox and Pink Floyd.:D:A
Thankfully, however, the migraine has finally departed. *phew!*
GWS wishes to all who need them - DustyMum and Mr Narc0 spring immediately to mind, and of course Piggers - that throat sounds v painful. Sorry, I skimmed the days I missed reading but didn't take in everything, so if you're poorly, consider yourself wished better.:o
I've got out of having to go for a meal on Valentine's Day, because Button the Cockerpoo will be here, and I don't want to leave her on her own all evening.;) We've got a bottle of Alldee's finest bubbly to have at home instead.;)
Hopefully normal Flying will resume tomorrow - fwiw, we've got all the weekend tasks done (Mr LW is finishing the ironing as I type).:AIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Great meeting about the Jamboree - all very excitingHow does the Monopoly Trail work?
If it's the same as the Guide one then, yes, you visit IRL as many places named on the Monopoly board as possible. There's either someone placed there to sign your sheet, or something you have to photograph to prove you got there, or a question to answer once you're there. Great fun!

Dusty yes dehydration is a real problem with that type of op, and it' s difficult to get the patient to drink if they don't feel up to it. fingers crossed things improve.
Elasticmoney glad it's not just me who hoards old course notes. I think I got rid of some of my degree stuff last year and I graduated in 1982............biology has pretty much moved on since then. My room of doom is still my office; having done a big blitz a year or so ago, it is due another as I'm starting to notice other shelves full of stuff I haven't had the need to read or use since the last blitz, which is probably a sign it needs ditching.
While I was at church, Mr N started doing some sorting out in the garage which actually is a worse room of doom than the office; was never brilliant but stuff got just chucked in it over Christmas in random, unstacked mayhem. My cupboard of flower arranging stuff seems to have cloned its contents and spilled them everywhere. To finish up the happy mix, at least one mouse has been investigating many of the boxes and piles. We've made a big difference and thrown away quite a bit, but need a longer warm day to really lay things out and sort them. We aim to have a big boot sale of horse stuff in spring, and actively investigate other stuff e.g. hundreds of old LPs. We've always hung on to them in case anything was a 'collector's item' but - as Froddington knows, they are all pretty embarrassing. If a boot sale 'professional' offers us a fiver for the lot I think we'd be best shot of them and good luck to him if he makes his fortune.
Had a FB message from horse's 'new' owner; he has met all his new friends (she has 6 other horses) so he will be happy; he's very playful.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Bathroom Done!
Sunday lunch cooked and eaten - and my lovely DD and Ds1 washed up afterwards! DD and I have just been for a walk around town, and she bought a few bits for birthdays coming up, and I found a jumper I liked.
Lessons all planned and resourced for this week, bag packed, clothes (I nearly said uniform - well, it practically is!) all ready.
Reading, knitting and TV for the rest of the evening I think. Tomorrow will be my first full Monay, so not sure I'll be up to flying after, will have to see.
Love and hugs to all flyladies who can make good use of them.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
