  • I don't think it is out of place either. A mortgage is still a debt and as you say as a single parent is the most worrying debt that you have as it is secured on your home.
Love reading your calculations - you are making great progress:beer:

Speaking as someone who has a large debt, I dont think your posts are out of place at all.

You've never been insensitive, and debt is debt at the end of the day hun :D

My plans for getting loads done don't seem to be going to plan so far  My sister popped in for a cup of tea this morning which was nice but threw me off course a bit, I did mention to her that at some point it would be handy if her hubby could pop round to help me with a couple of jobs. I have taken down all the decorations and the lounge, kitchen, bathroom and hall are all straight and back to normal now. However, ds bedroom is still chock-a-block and my brother-in-law has just phoned to say he'll be round in half an hour
I am grateful because he is going to put up a picture for me that I got for xmas (normally they sit on the floor for ages  ), and also he's gonna help me carry my old drawers down to the garage ready for the new ones arriving next weekend.
A friend phoned earlier too and she is doing the same sort of blitz today and we've agreed to go out for a walk tomorrow, so I need to get everything done today now :o:o:o
Once my bil has been I will get started with the tax return then do some ebaying later

Well, its nearly eight o' clock and I've only just finished my tax return   I am not sure its correct but I'm so fed up of trying to do it that I've given up now  I reckon I owe them £40 ... woohoo .... 4 hours of faffing to figure out £40 !!!

So nothing else on my list has been achieved today  The car tax will have to wait till Monday, the xmas tree is in the garage waiting to be recycled, the xmas decs are all over my bed and my bedroom is an absolute tip, I may have to sleep in ds bed tonight :o:o

I'm having 10 minutes to catch up on here and then I can either: do the ironing; get listing on ebay; tidy my bedroom or ds bedroom; pack away the xmas decs ... oh the exciting joy!!! :rotfl:

Although the offence is "failure to display" the tax disc, when I was in the same position a couple of months ago, I asked a police sargeant who said print off the confirmation of the tax purchase online, and you would have to be very very unlucky to come across a police officer who would not allow that to stand.
