Haven't done much off my list ... I've had my bath and done my nails and been to Sainsburys but thats about it, oh and went for cup of tea with friends, BUT ... no ironing (Again!!), no AQA'ing (yet) and haven't done my review for work, MUST do that tonight.

Ds is home again from his dads ... I wonder when or if it will not bother me seeing his dad ... I hope one day it won't but my stomach churns every time I have to see him still :o:o it just brings everything back and reminds me how unhappy he made me and then I start questioning how one perosn can lie so easily, can pretend to be someone they're clearly not etc  and it STILL bothers me

Have some dead exciting news .......

my Mum and Dad have decided to give me, my brother and my sister £1000 each    :D:D:D :j :j :j
They did this once before, the condition usually is that we dont save it, they like us to treat ourselves to something we really want ;) My brother and sister are both buying new tv's with theirs, I need to think now about what to do with mine ;) I know they won't mind really if I do save it or some of it, but they would like me to think if theres anything I need/want :D
So far, I have come up with:
    • a plasma telly : dont really need it but would be lovely ;)
    • wireless connection for 'puter ditto above
    • bedside tables / drawers for bedroom : dull but do need them
    • mirror for bedroom: see above
can't actually come up with anything else, which also makes me happy as surely I must be really content with my life if theres nothing much I want / need??

My very first thought though when they told me was .... Can't wait to whack it in the mortgage calculator and see what a difference it would make to my mortgage free date ... and the answer is: if I was to pay it off the mortgage, it would knock my mortgage free date down from July 2032 to Sept 2031, amost a whole year off the mortgage   :T :T

Ooooh decisions decisions !!!! Any ideas or thoughts anyone ?????

How lovely what a nice surprise. My opinion, for what is worth, is treat yourself. You are making great progress with the mortgage repayments all by yourself.

Knowing how good you are shopping on the internet you might be able to buy the whole list above with a £1000. You could try pricerunner for the TV prices and you may be able to go through Quidco or something to so you could be very MSE with how far you stretch the money.

Go on be kind to yourself and also make your parents happy by treating yourself which sounds like the reason they have given you the money.

You obviously like a challenge so maybe you could challenge yourself to spreading the £1000 as far towards your list as you can? And maybe you could add in some pamper treats for yourself if you like that sort of thing. And maybe a day out for you and DS?

Hi hon, Ooh how lovely for you. What ever you decide please have a treat out of it. What about a holiday for you and your son ? Do whatever would give you the most satisfaction/pleasure. Enjoy! XX
