Only spent £1.65 on lunch today (had forgotten to go to the bank so thats all I had in my purse ;) ). Have however spent £25 online from Next sale :o:o very naughty of me really, I MUST stop buying stuff in their sales

Had a letter back from Tesco today about the milk in the car, saying thanks for bringing it to their attention but theres nothing they can do   A quick phonecall later and they are now sending me a cheque for £50 to cover the cleaning costs ;)

Postie brought me a Letts writing skills book today for 4-5 year olds, it was a freebie I sent off for from the freebie board I think, anyway its really good and ds loves it :T
I need to go off and work out Octobers budget really now. Can't wait to see how much I'm gonna get paid tomorrow :j

good news on the tesco cheque :j

I hope your paypacket brings you a lovely amount of money. Best to err on the side of caution though, and assume you are getting the lower amount.

Payday finally came .... and was £140 less than I reckoned it would be, but I knew it would be less because of the emergency tax and the pension payment. Hopfully I'll get my payslip today so I can see exactly whats what.

I will need to look at possibly borrowing some from the money I put away for other bills each month until my tax is sorted out.

No payslip at work yet, hopefully will be there on monday  My stuff from Next has arrived already :T and I actually like it all this time :D , I got a long skirt for winter, a pair of linen trousers, and 3 t-shirts for £24 :T :T
I've been catching up with variou bits and bobs on here since I got home today and have ordered a magic mug from truprint (£3.99 but get £4 back from quidco;) ) and will go in the xmas pressie box :D and also ordered an anorak for me  :D I've been meaning to get one for a while, I'm sick of getting soaked when we go out and then having soggy coats :o Anyway it was £25 but with a couple of discount codes I got it for £12.50 including delivery, being delivered on tuesday. Its plain navy so not too old-biddyish, although my sister thinks its hilarious and keeps telling me I must be getting really old

Thankyou Lady Pink, yep it was the Littlewoods thread that made me get the anorak, although I got a bit sidetracked and spent more than £1, but it was something I was planning on buying anyway ;) I might go and have another look though, because you can use that offer on Great Universal and Kays as well so may go bargain hunting again ;):D Then I need to go and try and do some xmas planning, sort out what vouchers I've got left and how much money is in the mas fund, and see if I'm on track :money:

Okay, so I went and shopped some more  and this time I got 2 cardigans for me for 80p  from Great Universal and a Thomas the Tank Engine book for ds Leappad for £2.60 (was £14) from Kays. Another bit for my xmas pressie box ... well, when I say "box" what I really mean is 4 underbed storage trays under my bed and half a cupboard too :o:o I really must sort through it and start allocating stuff to give to people! I'm good at getting bargains, but then they seem to live in my pressie cupboard for a long long time ... I need to learn the idea is then to give them to people as gifts :rotfl:

So, on these extras I have spent £3.40 in total an the quidco hasn't tracked yet, so will update again when I know how much I get paid from them to grab these bargains :rotfl:

Spent tonnes of money already today :o:o ... took ds to football (£3.20) then had to get petrol and an air freshener for the milky car  (£23), then went food shopping and spent £34 :o Its all budgeted for but it feels like a lot of money considering its not even lunch-time yet.
Last night I figures out Octobers budget and once everything is paid for I will have about £2 per day left over for general stuff  I don't suppose I'll be able to stick to it but I'm just aiming to stay as close as possible. I should get some money back from the emergency tax I've paid, and also my tax credits need adjusting since I got my new job so I should get some more there too. I'm going to take packed lunches this month, its only 3 weeks this month cos of half-term, and monday is an inset day so they provide lunch for us for some reason, not complaining, its roast beef ;)
Each month I try to save £200 to my mortgage pot and this money comes from any odd bits such as mystery shopping / overtime / ebay / surveys / quidco etc. I have a chart where I log all my exoected earnings and then my actual earnings. For October I currently have £120 that I know should be coming in, so I need to find another £80 over the month, which means I need to have a serious ebay blitz!! I've got the stuff to put on there, I just don't have the motivation to do it :o Maybe tonight once ds is in bed I'll get cracking ;)

My friend phoned me up at lunchtime and we nipped into town with ds. It was a lovely afternoon and we had an ice-cream and played crazy golf :D well, when I say "played" I really mean ds did it a bit like in hockey where the thing is almost on the end of your stick (but much slower:o ) ... he loved it and we had a great time ... not so sure about the poor beggar behind us who had to keep waiting cos we were so slow :rotfl:
All in all it cost me £3 for the car park and £5.40 for the 3 of us on the golf (she paid for the ice-creams:D ). It was a really nice time though and ds is now thoroughly worn out and ready for bed ;)
I also bought a christmas pressie for a friend, it was a magnetic noticeboard that is like a million dolly mixture and the magnets look like dolly mixtures too. It was £25  but thats what I budget for her anyway and I usually struggle to find anything for her, and its from one of those posh kitchen shops that sells loads of Alessi stuff and things like that. They also had a bautiful one of waves crashing and the magents were little pebbles. I was soooo tempted to get one for me but I already have a noticeboard so I don't need it but mine is just a dull cork one from Tesco

Tonight I'm going to attempt to catch up on some housework and maybe have a bath (friend gave me a hugebottle of Dove bubble bath cos her skin is sensitive and she can't use it  ) and then tomorrow is a big ebay / aqa mission (aqa pack came through today so need to get reading :D ) ... have also got stuff in to do a roast dinner and promised ds we would make some cakes ;) Hopefully it will be a no spend day ;)

If I were you, I would forget about catching up on the housework, and just enjoy that relaxing bath.

Housework on a Saturday night. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
