Diary of my new life !!!

I was eyeing up the Glamour lip-glosses too yesterday, but the new money saving me didn't want to spend £2, I'm impressed with myself!! But I think I might succumb today, I've not been food shopping in 12 days, just bought a few bits from our local shop and used up tons out of the freezer, so I reckon I deserve it!!
Only 2 weeks til we move house now, I'm going to have a busy weekend. Surrounded with clothes that I want to get on ebay, but might be better to wait til I move, but I'm desperate to sell more!!
Have a good day everyone...lovely and sunny in the west, youngest dd off to Longleat with Brownies lucky thing!!
:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Benben, you're doing wonderfully! Your focus is astonishing - hope you have a lovely weekend.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Once ds is in bed tonight I have lots of sorting out to do financially, I'm starting to get confused what I have where at the moment
Slight change of plan today, ds had decided after last weeks trip with Tigzem, that he wanted his birthday party at Longdown Dairy Farm. I told him he could choose 9 friends, making 10 of them in total, and there will be me, my sister and my parents, which would cost a total of 76.50. He originally wanted it at Alice in Wonderland adventure park but as it was 12.95 per child  I said no.... but .... it dawned on me last night that you can use tesco clubcard deals there, so having done a few sums I've worked out that it will cost €2.50 in tesco vouchers per child
So, for 35.00 of tesco vouchers we can take 10 kids and 4 adults
This means that I still have the 100.00 I've put away for his party, although I reckon I'll need about 30.00 of this for food / party bags etc, and when I checked last night I have 125.00 of tesco vouchers, so 35 for the party, 75 for butlins and 15 left, possibly for more treats over the summer or to put away for next yearI'm really chuffed I thought of this for the party, ds is over the moon as he really wanted to go there, so as a special treat for his star award / going up a level in his reading I took him there for the day today too
Not very mse of me really as I wasnt able to use any tesco vouchers as I havent sent them off yet, so it cost 20.00 for us to get in  and then 2.50 for a donkey ride
and 7.00 for lunch  but it was a lovely day just the two of us, the weather has been great, and he's a tired sleepy monster now :rotfl:
Right, I'll update more later when I've sorted out the accounts againMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I sorted out my contents insurance last night, it cost me €67 from Asda, and I have earned €68 from quidco which has validated already :j :j This also means I can save an extra €5 a month into the mortgage pot as I was paying €10 a month last year.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

If *you're* confused, there's no hope for the rest of us! These posts are great - it shows something important actually, to prepare a bit ahead, and think things through, not scramble it at the last minute - how much extra you've been able to achieve through the Deals thing is really impressive, good for you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Right, ds is tucked up in bed and on his way to the land of nod
, I have got loads of jobe done while he was playing in the bath ... done my eyebrows, cleaned the sink and the loo, packed his schoolbag and got his uniform out ready, cleaned his shoes  , filled the dishwasher, put on another lot of washing (4th lot today :T ), wrote a list of which Mr Men books he's got already so I can tell family when they ask about his birthday
.
By the end of all that lot he was looking like a wrinkled prune :rotfl: but at least it means I should have an easier night tonight
So, my updated list for the rest of this evening looks like this:- Order Tesco deals for birthday party and Butlins
- Pay council tax
- Pay ground rent
- Move some money round the accounts (yet again
)
- Get a couple of bits on ebay
- Possibly some ironing, but not too wooried if this one doesn't get done
