I haven't done Aprils money yet, I got a bit sidetracked with ebay again. I have been putting more bits on there and now I'm up to 13 items on there. Its all junk that I would have ended up throwing out so if I can get something for it then great ;) They are doing free gallery at the moment so its not costing me too much to list stuff and I am tracking it all in a spreadsheet that was sent to me from another dfw on the ebay thread :D
I have had several piles of ebay stuff round the flat for weeks if not months, so it is nice to know I've finally made a start on clearing some of it. If it doesn't sell on there I will add it to my car boot sale pile

Morning all ... I did my budget for April in bed last night, and I have budgeted for ds shoes out of that money which means I have got £39 left until monday (payday). I have also got some money my mum gave me to take ds to the cinema in the holidays, so thats separate.
Today it looks like the weather might not be too bad again; we have to do a few dull jobs this morning (go to the bank, go to the post office etc) but then we may go down the beach this afternoon or into the forest, whichever we choose it will be a cheapy day ;):D

Morning benben, just had a wee catchy up with your thread, good to see that youa re doing well and wow to that mortgage fund!
Welldone for ebay, i had a flurry last week, some went, some didn't so thinking of other options, no where near enough for a car booty sadly. I'm with you on the dull jobs today, trying to get the motivation up to get dressed and head out...
    Have a good day

Well the rain clouds have arrived big time   so I had a quick look at the cinema online ... omg ... the only film ds would be interested in is Horton Hears A Who, and for the pair of us it will cost £13   I may as well just buy the dvd   That is ridiculous for a kids film, and I showed him the trailer and he didn't even concentrate on that for 3 minutes   I know my Mum gave him the money to go but I think I would rather wait till theres a film he really wants to see :o

  • Benben thats ridiculous the price of the cinema.. Where I live they do Saturday morning films for kids and its cheaper... May be worth looking to see if your cinema do something similar.

They do a "kids club" on wed and thurs mornings, but the only film its showing is The Golden Compass, and he's too young for that, he'd get too bored  :D

  • Like you say then it may be better to buy a DVD or change the 'treat' from your mum to mega bowl or something as they have the ramps to help little ones play. Have a good day whatever you decide to do.

Well we've had a very dfw day instead ... we went to the post office and posted a parcel, then as it was showery we came back, put on our wellies and raincoats and went down to our garage. I sorted it all out so all the car boot/ebay stuff is now grouped together, so when I get the urge I can grab a box and list some on ebay. There is more there that should sell on ebay than I realised, so I want to have a go at selling some of it on there before I car boot it as I think I'm more likely to get more for it on there although I need to watch for the fees. The new spreadsheet thingy will let me track that though ;)

We als grouped all ds outdoor toys together in one corner, and he spent a couple of hours playing with his bike and wheelbarrow down there ;) Once we'd finished we had a game of footie for half an hour as its gated off down there and theres only 2 other cars that ever use the garages and they're at work now anyway :D

Just had lunch and ds is dying to get back down there for another game  At least he's getting some fresh air and I'm making sure he has to keep running by kicking it as far away from him as possible ;) :rotfl:

Morning all ... got another couple of bits on ebay last night ;) I've got 7 watchers now :D
We've just had baths and are off to the bank in a minute to make a payment off the mortgage - all the overpayment money in my signature for this year has been in a savings account till now, I'm just about to go and pay it in  It always freaks me out a bit paying bits off; part of me is so proud to have done it, another part of me panics in case I need the money for something else  but then that just motivates me to save some more quickly :D
