Forgot to mention earlier that ds got £5 from my nan and £3 from an aunt for easter instead of an egg :T :T , I have already put it in my purse and moved the £8 from my online account to his savings account
He certainly doesn't need to spend it on sweets right now and by the time I've finished sorting his room I am bound to have unearthed loads of toys he'd long since forgotten about; so I figured he has no need to be spending it so its already been squirelled away safely

I make DS save at least half of any money he gets - he's used to it now though! I find sorting toys easier when he's away at his dads as he wants to keep junk that he hasn't looked at in years otherwise. we have loads of games but he only ever wants to play Frustration or top trumps.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Morning!!! Last night I managed to empty a double cupboard in my bedroom so that is now going to be used for ds board games / puzzles etc and any other toys that will fit
Hopefully that way he will be able to get to more of his toys and may hopefully choose to play with something other than his trains once in a while
Over the last few days he has started wanting to do drawing which is unheard of for him; his school are concerned about his fine motor skills as he never wants to do drawing / colouring / writing etc, and also they think that may be part of the reason he misbehaves sometimes as he gets frustrated as other children can do things he can't ... so I am on a mission to encourage it this holidays, the table is covered in pens / pencils / crayons / scissors etc and piles and piles of paper
Nothine much to add on the money front; I have got about £60 left until payday but I shouldn't need any food, only bread and milk. I may need some more petrol if we go out much but with the weather as it is at the moment I think we might be spending a fair bit of time indoors this holiday  I am going to try and do Aprils budget later on today.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I just did a survey from globaltestmarket and although it screened me out early on it gave me 5 points which was enough to take me over 1000 opints, so I have just ordered my cash which should be about £25 :j :j It has to come from the US so it says I have to allow 6-8 weeks  but it will still be very welcome when it arrivesMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I do surveys with them too Benben, they pay really well. I've had a few cheques from them in the past, without requesting a payout so I think they send it automatically when you reach 1000 pointsIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I've had a couple of payouts from them. It must depend on exchange rate what you get as one was £23 and the last one (only a couple of weeks ago) was £24.92 and I'm already up to 855 points again - great site!
My DS would never write / draw / paint when he was small because what he had in his head wasn't what appeared on the paper - if he couldn't do anything he just wouldn't do it. Once when I tried to get him to draw he said "But it's just scribble!!" I remember it used to be a source of great frustration with him. Even now he gets his lowest marks for art and can't wait to drop it next year!0 -
I don't know what got into me after I posted my last post, but I managed to shift myself off the sofa and have just finished blitzing ds bedroom :j :j It looks the tidiest I have ever seen it since we moved in
I put all his puzzles and board games in my cupboard and then everything else seemed to fall into place and for the first time ever he seems to have enough storage space for everything else in his bedroom
I have ao changed his bed, put some new posters up that I found at the back of his cupboard and cleaned and hoovered it all too
Right, time for a ten minute catch-up on here I think

We were going to go out but it started chucking it down with rain again, so as ds was happily playing with his trains I made a start on my ebay challenge. I relisted a pair of boots as a buy it now that I've already put on there twice, for 10 days each time, and they haven't gone. Within 20 minutes they had sold :j :j The best bit is I put them on as £11.99 both times before and they never went, today I put them on at £13 and they sold straight away  and they only cost me £10 in the sales in the first place !! I reckon theres loads of people off work, bored at home, buying tut on ebay :rotfl: ... right, I'm off to list some moreMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Okay, ds is in bed, I'm just having ten minutes catching up on here before I have another go at ebay. I managed to get another 5 items listed earlier; doesn't sound much but I hate listing stuff on there  I'm gonna crack on some more tonight as my whole flat is looking the cleanest / most organised its ever looked, and the only thing spoiling it is the piles of stuff for ebay / car boot sales in my bedroom
If I can make a dent in them this holiday then that would be great, especially as the weather isn't looking like its gonna be up to much so I may as well make the most of the opportunity;)
Today I have spent £6 on cereals / bread ... we had managed to use up every bit of cereal in the house (I refused to buy ds anymore until he ate up all the half eaten boxes first). Seeing as he kept his side of the deal I had to keep to mine
I'm not sure what we're doing tomorrow; it depends on the weather but if its raining we may go swimming or to the cinema. I'll be back later to update how ebay's goingMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
