What they actually said was "we will be contacting the police and requesting they take legal action against you." That's not quite the same thing as the police preventing a breach of the peace. What legal action do they think the police can/would take over a trespass?

You also have the unanswered question about that "considerable loss" suffered by Napier. Did the OP drive into the car park with a Challenger Tank, ripping up the tarmac and knocking down all the fences?

I have just looked at this carpark on Streetview. Images are from July last year and there don't seem to be any entry signs apart from one that says "pay station". There are sings on the back wall , but I can't zoom in enough to see what they say.

Took pictures of the paymeters and the signage above the pay machines. the sign entering the park is huge but the writing is small so you can't read it on the way in, but I go past it enough times so I will send a friend in to read it.

Does it say who owns the car park and if Napier just "manages" it for a third party?
