Lancaster
best of both worlds really - not touristy, but close enough to lakes and coast to enjoy them. I loved it. I used to get the longer bus route home as you got a great view from the top of the hill. In one house I lived in we could see the sea from the bathroom.
Now I'm stuck in the Midlands again. Couldn't be further from the sea if I tried. I so miss walking along Morecambe seafront.0 -

We live right by the coast and can see the sea from the back bedroom and loft windows.
Being by the sea is one of my most favourite places ever.0 -
Whitewing, hope you enjoy it tremendously.
How can someone be 'too ugly' for something like that? Doesn't make any sense dear thing.
It is funny the talk about sex I'm reasonably open, but when my godmother and mother asked me what was meant by reverse cowgirl some years ago I started to explain , much to fir's amusement, then when he caught my eye, I blushed and suggested they google it.
How do you google it? They asked.0 -

I love the treat when you get to the top and you can have your sarnies and cup of tea!

You're meant to get to the top before you start on the food?? Really? Reminds me of the telling off I got once from a walk leader for eating my emergency mars bar in the first half hour. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

It's motivation to get to the top! We had jelly beans to eat on the way up....just to keep our energy up! :rotfl: Then DH found a Rocky Bar in his jacket pocket, that's our emergency chocolate bar!0 -

I'm finding the exercise class is triggering all sorts of former feelings. Just before I went to uni (and when I was very unknowingly ill), I saw an article in the paper about how bouncers wouldn't let ugly girls into nightclubs. I was terrified that I would get refused entry in front of a large group of associates. At our group, there are a few of the men who work as bouncers. They are all perfectly nice so I know I am being silly, but it is taking time to process all these feelings.
Anyway, DH came in to see me and I seductively whispered that I had made the purchase. He looked at me blankly, so I said that I thought he'd be pleased! (And excited) He said that he won;t be pleased about anything today.
So he won;t be joining the Christening party when it arrives.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
White wing, Either way it might be better to experiment alone, but he/you might feel differently on delivery day.
I'm hanging on to stay awake for a bit til the birds go in.......down side of longer days....my chore day is longer too.0 -
Well that is very much his loss!
In a last attempt to sort things, I bought something along these lines for FOH for Christmas. He wouldn't even open the present...said he was 'too busy' (as unwrapping gifts just takes sooo much time). Never one to waste a purchase, I have been enjoying a tingly time ever since :rotfl:.0 -
My dad had the same attitude to gifts - he always said: I can't do that now. Mind you, I never bought my dad a vibrator!
I feel guilty about moaning about DH. He is in the kitchen with littlewing, cooking tea and letting her help. Maybe he does have some redeeming features.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
