I think I need to sit down and go through my first utility bills. The starting readings were right (I'm sure I checked) but then they estimated the first bill and got it way over. Then recalculated but it seemed a weird calculation. You've reminded me I need to go through it.
Today was a spendy day as needed cat food, fell into the old trap and went to the local shop and came out £17 lighterNo exercise as was tutoring but will rectify that tomorrow.

After a plethora of little spends last week, I gave myself a stern frown, and have now done 4 in a row. Dd and I are going to Bham on the train tomorrow, so it may be another one...
Today I am grateful for the blooming dark purple crocuses (croci?) in the garden, for dd's playdate friend being lovely, for Jack's meatball recipe, for good coffee, for dd + friend and their antics on the bouncy hopper!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

- mothernerd - eating frogs and 15 minutes have turned my frown upside down and made me a much better looking and happier person
- Picnics in SUNSHINE again and loving family days out.

Hey everyone, quick post before bed for me - the routine for this week has just about kept it together, managed to get up again today and I've moisturised etc before bed, fingers crossed for an early start tomorrow.
Sorry to hear a few turtles feeling down, I agree that the frog eating (brilliant analogy mothernerd!) and lent could be a good time to take action on things that are bugging us Thrifty my good friend has children a similar age to you although the baby is smaller and still being breastfed. I can sympathise with not being able to leave them alone, in her case, the oldest is quite jealous. We're having a night out in the week so she can have a break, and her OH can test his skills - He'll be a SAHD for three months soon and is not prepared!
Wrote all of the above yesterday before my laptop died, and I haven't caught up with posts yet. Today I've had a really bad experience with online dating and a guy who was totally horrible to me. What do they think they will achieve? Arguing with you will make them more attractive? People seem to forget there is a real person on the other end when they hammer out their abuse on a keyboard. My plan for the week is holding together with some minor alterations. Hope everyone's ok xNST September: SFD 17/20, food £62.87/£60, travel £61.55/£40, Outings £39.80/£100, Allotment £7.17/£30 Other: £42.32, Meditation ?/30.

Good morning turtle friends,
Hope you are well. Beautiful sunshine in the South West this morning, which is a lovely start to the day.
A SFD yesterday for me, so gradually getting there - need to get a couple of essentials today though. Ate a frog clearing out one of the file cabinet drawers at work which really needed to be done - will hopefully eat the other later this week!;)
Shyspender - Thank you for the soup recipe, it sounds lovely and I will give it a go at the weekend.:A
Bobarella - I agree with others, annoying though it is, it might be better to reduce the savings just for a bit - you can always go back up and even add more later when you're able to. I didn't know that about the utility companies either!
Synonymous - sorry to hear about bad experiences internet dating, hope you're OK, it can be horrible when something like that happens even if it's not in person.
Have a good Wednesday all.

Thanks guys.
I think what Im going to do is, see how bad the OD gets by the end of this month, and if needs be, transfer back to my current account to get it under control, then I can just keep doing that for now. I think looking at the weather, we'll be able to turn the heating off within a month. We actually only spent £27 on electric for the whole of the last month, its the gas.
Synomomous -I am so sorry to hear that. People can be horrible in an online setting, god knows why. What right have they to judge anyone else?
I actually saw an OP on here judging someone they've never met for having 2 kids by different dads, and listed it as a character flaw. Talk about small minded.
Lilt -Obs First Utility arent great then....but are any of them in all seriousness? Im with EON for my business account and they are useless for letting estimated bills ride for months then slapping huge bills.
Mothernerd -Sorry if I've missed the why, but if they owe you £400 why cant you have that back?
Apple - I havent made meat balls in ages, thats a great suggestion for tonights dinner.
MagicCat - Well done on your frog eating" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Quick post for me, sorry didn't pop in yesterday. Ended up with migraine and an early night. Otherwise lovely day off.
Spent money yesterday, bits of shopping needed, plus treated myself to some clothes. Damn sainsburys 25% off (even off their sale items)but hey ho skirt for 3.13 beats overpriced charity shops, look ace for work.
Hugs to everyone needing one.
Utility bills are so annoying now, why do they only do annual bills? I have been playing catch up but reckon I am now in credit, however they won't adjust my payments until August. So much better when bills were quarterly.
Syn - internet dating not for the faint hearted, those sites are stacked to the rafters with nutters. Take care, look after yourself.

Having a paperwork day today and it is driving me nuts!!
It's one of those things that you just wish you hadn't started and now think "oh dear".
The reason why I am posting (apart from declaring another spend free day) is that my energy suppliers have never refunded me any money.
What annoys me is that I overspent on my electric but underspent on my gas and even though it is the same company, they won't just transfer the money over to cover the short one.
Instead they keep my extra money then send me a bill for the shortfall.
Mine is only over by £55 though so maybe that is why the company haven't refunded it back.
:undecided
Hope everyone is having a good day.
Hugs to you all.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Sorry to hear someone was horrible synonymous. Sorry if I'm being daft but why would someone be horrible to someone else on a dating site? Surely that's just counter productive.
I need a paperwork day soon stewby bit keep putting it off - guess that's a frog found!
Today was SFD number 9, LTW and exercise doneplanning another SFD tomorrow too, I do love SFDs. I've also decided to give up chocolate for lent, need to prove I still have some willpower in me. It's definitely lacking on the diet front atm.
