Thanks for the help and have a nice weekend everyone!!!0 -
All private parking scumpanies will be in a state of kiddie over-excitement at present, after the Beavis mis-Hearing yesterday.
[That matter is far from over and many people:-) want to help Mr Beavis assemble the amount he needs to cover preparatory Appeal costs. ref. bargepole Thread and parking prankster blog.]
if this happens 'You will get a set of court papers in a few weeks that are supposed to be an example of what they would look like if submitted. ' let us know at once, just to determine this is what they are.
You need to keep your file of this wretched waste of paper for 6 years, or until a new Government sets Legislation against these bounty hunters in stone.
In the meantime, I am enjoying the new suggestions for sending Document Handling Invoices, back to issuer, for same-as-ppc-scam£s with warning of Court assessed £18 per hour added on, plus costs including but not limited to stationery, postage, utilities, etc.etc.
tp - You'll have seen the format in sticky reading. DO NOT CAVE!
Have no fear, please. Shall I send you an invoice? Even my bestest scariest crackpottiest one?
You still haven't paid me? - my heart bleeds and it's an OAP one too. I'll copy off loads of tinternet-sweat p/w with lots of pretend legalese and empty thuggery threatery twittery guffery, shall I?
Are you scared yet?
tp - this is what they are doing to you. Concentrate on getting that mortgage. You dont have to mention this rubbish. It's on a par with all the unsolicited junk mail that comes into your letterbox.
All the ppcs need double-dose Calpol after yesterday, something stronger long-term.

Update: I received draft court papers today.
I'm still ignoring them? Is there anyone I can complain to? I still feel really uneasy about it all.
Thanks.0 -
I suppose you could try trading standards or the police but I doubt they will help you
its just intimidation by letter, so ignore anything unless you get real court papers from northampton or salford, and double check with the court that any papers are real
you can also complain by filling in the government online survey before may 25th as Eric Pickles seems to be having a go at sorting out this mess although that will take time

At the top of the page in the right corner there is a box that says 'In the Northampton (CCBC) County Court'
Are these real papers?0 -
I doubt it, but the only way to check is use the reference number and ask northampton bulk clearance centre
nobody here can tell you but its likely that its a fake, an example of a real one, but not real
if it was sent from northampton court, then its real, but only if they sent it (not anpr), plus it would have an official reference number too0 -
Ok thanks. I'm assuming they're not open on weekends so I'll try first thing Monday morning.
Thanks.0 -
Do they have an official reference number telling you to log online to defend the case? Genuine papers allow you to check the claim online0

If it looks like this (post #27), it's real.

If it looks like this, it's fake.

Now, why did I guess it's a fake!
ANPR Ltd are a spent force in the context of 'legitimate' (:rotfl:) parking charge notices. Dying embers since ejection from the BPA AOS.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
