  • And challenge the NTK as the registered keeper never say who was driving

I.e the driver did this or that not I did this or that
  • Back again! I received a lovely letter from ol' Trevor yesterday! I'm going to refresh my memory of what are the next steps to take. If I'm honest I'm a little worried with the whole process but most of all I'm furious that they have been able to access my details to get my name and home address by using my car registration! I would have thought there would be some data protection against idiots like these people.
  • OK so after rereading the newbie thread my first step would be to send a letter of appeal to anpr as the keeper. And then if that comes back I've got to go through popla? I am an intelligent person but this is confusing me! :(

correct, providing they give you a popla code (they dont like doing that part)

if sending by post, get and keep a certificate of posting from the P.O., in case you need to prove an appeal was sent to ANPR to to the BPA in a complaint (do not pay for recorded etc , do not send recorded)

all it costs is the price of the stamp, nothing else (which you would be paying anyway)

so dont use a postbox, go into the P.O. and ask for this free cert of posting
  • Hi redx,
They haven't given me a popla number... Yet? So I'm going to use the template letter from the thread and post it to anpr at the post office, where I ask for a certificate of posting.

    Thanks!

    correct

you are appealing the NTK with the template and free cert of posting

if they dont cancel, they "should" issue a popla code (which they dont like to do so they beat around the bush)

when they get back to you with their decision, let us know if they cancelled, if not , check ALL the paperwork for a popla code

if its not there, complain to the BPA
  • Thank you!

Something to show your grandchildren! Owd Uncle Trev's acknowledgement of your ability to park your car.

    Outstanding! :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
