Unfortunately, I don't have the time to search for bargains....especially a moving target.

Thanks. Yes we know that from the previous posts. It's moved on now and I'm asking if people can give suggestions on what to buy for my needs which are described in the original post.
If anyone has suggestions based on my needs then please do post as I would like help as I need to buy something soon. Many thanks.0 -
Any thoughts anyone? Or if no one can suggest any models then could I have suggestions on where I should go to get help & advice rather than just pc world. Cheers.0

Look, for the sake of trying to just save £20 or so, go for this one. At this end of the market spending £20-£30 more will get you better value.

£229, comes with win 8.1, core i3 4150, 4gb ram, and 500gb hd. Plenty fast enough for your needs.
Quidco and the like might have some cashback.
Only potential upgrade I'd consider is an ssd for the OS, but the above is plenty quick enough.

Just a question really , what are you posting from? Has that got itunes on it, and does it work ok with the citrix gateway. I can't see anything that has been suggested / dismissed as being inappropriate for the needs you stated in your original post, you don't "need an all singing all dancing pc". It appears that you could have been satisfied about 3 days ago, with the Lenovo that NiftyDigits suggested on the 30/01/15 post #8/10
Sorry. I should have explained I'm using my iPad to post. I can't back up my iphone and ipad to an ipad. I back up using a desktop and save my photos and burn my photos on a desktop. I don't want a laptop.
I can't use Citrix on my iPad.
I don't know that nifty is saying that I can be satisfied with the one 3 posts ago. I think he's saying its a bit limited.0 -

I'll look at what you've suggested is £20 cheers0 -
I Think the one suggested by Jaydee is a good choice as the processor is good according to the list of ranking I have got. I think I'll go for that. Thank you.0
