We are now removing all the sealing on the lounge window, going to paint the window sill and the re seal it all. Hoping that will help a little bit with the road noise. OH won't put "any old curtain and pole" up (like I want too just for the time being to muffle the noise as we haven't fully decided what we want up there long term and he doesn't want to waste money on doing it twice!!! He also hasn't dog proofed the front gate and the gap that goes into next doors garden!!! These are the most important priority bits to me.0

You can do those things yourself, Bexs! At the very least, you can dog-proof the garden. Half the dislike of change comes from the feeling of loss of control, and here you are giving it away - now it's up to your other half whether/when these things get done that you think should be the first priority? If it will make you happy to have it sorted, go out and get it sorted! You'll feel much better.

Your old house contained lots of happy memories. Just remember that in time your new house will hold happy memories too. You just haven't had time to create them yet. Try to make time soon to have friends or family round and once it begins to feel like a 'nest' you will settle in and start to feel at home. Be patient and give yourself a little time. You are probably exhausted from all the stresses and strains of moving so are not giving things a fair chance.0

Still struggling a bit. Maybe slightly less than last time. Bought some curtains for the lounge to try and help with the noise. Put the pole and curtains up today and they really don't look right, block the whole bay window and get stuck behind tv a bit and the tv can't go anywhere. Feel like the curtain Will have to come down and we will have wasted £65.
Stressed at work too and just feel everything has caught up on me and now got on top of me. Had a mini melt down this morning and a panic attack 0
