Some of the minis are back in stock :rotfl:I have just placed an order and the free Brimming with Love gift box was added to basket too.
  • Picked my sugar scrubs up yesterday along with the free gift. No problem with the collection despite me only spending £7. Fantastic deal as I use the sugar scrubs to take on hols, they make my tan last longer.

I did this and was stupid - when I went to collect it I gave the SA a copy of my email which showed that I had only spent £7. When she brought my orders (3) to the till she rang head office and reported me to head office for not spending £10 and she thought I was suspicious. She refused to let me collect my orders and the assistant manager backed her up even though I had already paid online for my goods. They told me they would have to refund me. I said well go ahead I paid with paypal. They didn't know what to do so had to refund cash. If I'd had more time I would have stood my ground and demanded they refund paypal. I later phoned Customer Services and made a complaint and was given £10 worth of points. Customer Services said there was nothing wrong with my order and it isn't my fault that Boots.com add a free gift when I haven't spent enough. I made the same online order to another store and collected it no problem. They didn't even open the box to check what was in it even though the other store had told me they have to open all the online orders. It is clear that my local store know I like a bargain and target me everytime I go in. I have a friend who buys glitchy things like me and they never question her - a clear case of discrimination!

The moral of the story is I won't be using the store where they have me marked down as a suspicious character. Every single transaction I do they try to be awkward and tell me I cannot do it even when there is nothing wrong with it. They are obviously jealous that I manage to enjoy the glitches and they cannot.

So folks - be careful what paperwork you show the SA as they may have been told to scrutinise everything!!

Really sorry you had this awful experience. I just gave them my name. They didn't even want to see the number on my phone, and they certainly didn't open any of my boxes. I'd avoid this store like the plague.

With all the profits Boots make by overcharging on most of their stuff compared to other retailers I don't think they'll be bothered about a few people "taking advantage". Especially when the boss sits pretty in Monaco not paying UK tax allegedly according to recent news articles.

    However, the battle goes on.......

Hahah yes I was going to write the same - already more expensive from other stores (so taking back the points they give away) and sitting on 1.5 billion pound tax dodging. I wouldn't care if Boots faces any difficulty.
    ally.
  • I picked up my online order earlier from my local Boots. I had bought 3 Sanctuary mini hand creams, £3 each, 1 for free, and the Sanctuary bath salts to make it up to £10 so getting the free gift and gift bag. Free delivery to store and a total of £7.75 paid.
Got home to find 1 hand cream missing. Phone Boots who can't apologise enough and refund me £3.
So in essence I have 2 hand creams, 1 bath salt, 1 brimming full of love gift set and a gift bag for a total of £4.75.

I picked up mine today, order less than £10, happy with just my name, bo box opened.
I cant believe they are quibbling over £3 as if its their own money, however you do read this a lot with Boots. If they had any sense they should know that this is how their offers work, both online and instore.
We arw lucky i guess that Boots have snapped up all the chemists to give us more delivery options if there are any awkward ones out there.

    I've been Money Tipped!
When I add 3 minis to the basket, I only get a free indulgent gift bag and not the brimming with love gift set.
Is this happening for anyone else?

You need to add 6 to get the gift set.

I've placed a £10 order. Nearly did a £7.50 one, but I'm not sure it's worth the potential stress if they decide to be awkward. Looks like a great deal regardless, thanks OP.

What's the Christmas gift bag like?
