The cards will work the same, whatever the design. They are probably just using up existing stock and will issue the new design when the old stock runs out.0

Bearing in mind I don't work in a branch the last email I read at work a while ago stated. All customers with an offline debit card would get the new design on expiry or renewal, I'm assuming something may have changed inbetween.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
My new NatWest card is in the new design but my new RBS is still the old design. Both are contactless cards.0

A friend recently got a replacement Royal Bank of Scotland offline card with the new design.0

I've just had mine and it's the old style. I'm being to wonder if they are sending the old style cards to customers that will be transferred to Williams and Glyn.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Perhaps they are just using up the stock. Would be a waste not to.
When I switched to Lloyds all the packing was for Lloyds TSB, the card was Lloyds but I have seen Lloyds TSB cards which are still in use last September at least.0 -

Possibly as even my card number starts 4762 and those cards was meant to be for the customers that was transferring to Santander before the deal collapsed.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
The RBS customers transferring mostly use the 16-XX-XX sort code range.
The NatWest ones mostly use 60-30-XX sort code range.Possibly as even my card number starts 4762 and those cards was meant to be for the customers that was transferring to Santander before the deal collapsed. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I have recently had both an new RBS and a new NatWest card. The RBS was the old design, the NatWest the new design. Both offline contactless cards.
I was also told when I phoned RBS to discuss my account that I should have phone a new number for Williams and Glyn as my account was in the process of being switched. So perhaps accounts that are being switched are just getting old style cards. Who knows? Anybody on here work for RBS??0
