New rbs debit card design

I understand rbs have changed debit card design?

Has anyone recieved a new one i just opened up a account for spending on contactless and fuel.

The new design looks a lot better.

As Stclair beat me to it they seem to have uniformly decided to make there cards similar to Natwest ones.

I got a new RBS card a couple of days ago and it was the old design.


Has anyone received a new design card?

They have been effectively harmonising the RBS and NatWest brands over the last few years - the colouring is becoming more blue for NW and more purple for RBS...

It was heavily implied that this would be accelerated once RBS fully hives off William and Glynn - as there would be no real RBS in England/Wales and NatWest in Scotland.

At the moment you will only recieve the new card design if you have a full authority/ offline debit card.

The online debit cards are still the old design for some random reason.

Yes they should now if you have a full authority debit card.

The one I have gives contactless payments. I have always thought that contactless is a full authority card? Does contactless still need authorisation??

What do you mean ?

Whenever I've used contactless its done in an instant or maybe a second.
