Yesterday and today were/are both NSDs (and I may nab a few more as I have been diagnosed with Sciatica and it 'URTS!)

I feel your pain, hope you recover soon.

A small spendy day today and tomorrow will also be a spend day as have the dreaded supermarket shop but it's absolutely essentials only. It's going to be a tight month as I have thrown all spare cash to my credit card.

    Stay warm.

Night. A black velvet African sky. The Bjorn Again Safari Lodge stands proud, lights blazing in the windows, the sound of Abba' s Greatest Hits playing in a loop can be heard from afar, the beasts in the jungle looking on in amazement. They have not seen anything like this before.

Outside, a solitary figure sits astride a static bicycle which powers the generator. He is pedalling like crazy, to keep all the lights and music going. On his back is a rucksack containing some rather esoteric recipe books, including the latest On Yer Hairy Bike - Nigella' s Scrumptious Safari Cooking. Which is odd because he looks nothing like Nigella.

An elephant crashes through the trees and skids to a halt outside the lodge.
He sinks to his knees and a figure descends elegantly from the little carriage on his back. She is graceful, aristocratic, dressed in purple and gold woven tribal cloth and a pair of Spongebob Squarepants wellies.

It Is I, Nargleblast, arrived at last after my first class flight and I have brought Swedish Chef with me - somebody had to go to Nairobi nick to bail him out, and you tight-arrised gits weren't volunteering!

So, Igor, take my cases to my room and run me a hot bath. I will then crack open a bottle or six to unwind. Yes, Hubert, you do look splendid in your leopard print nappy and sparkly stilettos. Yes, Cheffy, I would love a chicky wicky bork bork bork, but hold the peppers, they give me terrible wind.

Off to say hi to the chaps and chappesses - darn it, who put this leopardskin mankini on the washing line? Talk about lowering the tone of the neighbourhood....And Hubert, put that zebra down, dear, you don't know where he's been....
