We've established that this landlord is just being rude rather than harrassing the OP. kinger101 has also potentially unearthed who the OP's landlord is....Papa Lazarou.0

Yes, harassment & the right to "quiet enjoyment" are very very hard to prove, so don't get involved in long legal battles, look for some where else to live asap.
Quiet enjoyment is easy to prove- there's a tenancy in place
Harassment is fairly easy to prove. Video the LL, call the police. Present them with the video.
I suspect we have another for the list Pixie...0 -

I suspect it's accurate.
And I suspect the LL will back off rather than think he's gotten away with it.0 -

We rented off 'the Papa' as we called him, a very nice greek man with several properties in north london, one day he took us into his confidence and told us that he once had a letter from some previous tenants asking him for his permission to do a character for a television programme based on him but he never replied!
The funny thing is we were making jokes about him being that character from league of gentlemen already because he kept going on about his wife and he would ring up and ask to speak to only one tenant. Lovely, sweet old man but you could really see how the character was based on him.
We woke up one day and came downstairs and he was sweeping the small landing between the kitchen and stairs bless him and he would always say 'Hellooo boys.'
He started getting dementia as we left i think which was a bit sad. We couldn't believe it when he told us and we even watched a league of gentleman 'making of' where they described how they made the character and described him to a tee. Those were the days.0 -
Thank you everyone for replying! It was a great help. I wasn't going to go to court with him at all, just wanted to know in case this does get a bit too much. He hasn't contacted me since so I think he's just a bit of a rude asshat. He may or may not be hiding something but I don't want to get involved if I can avoid it. The less trouble, the better. I'm just gonna lay low, hope nothing breaks and move as soon as my lease ends.0

So, my tenancy ended on the 28th. I was out the office yesterday and return to see my LL has been into my place of work 1. to drop off post (they have a forwarding address) 2. asking questions about how to work things in the property.
I'm really not happy about them just turning up at my work. I now feel on edge, like they're just going to show up again. - this is the 2nd time this week it has happened.0 -

Have you set up a Redirection service with Royal Mail? I set one up for 12 months every time I move. That way I don't have to rely on anyone forwarding my post.
Asking how things work in the property is odd though as you'd think they would know this already.0 -

No, we haven't yet, but I think I will have to, I had hoped I had changed most of important stuff already, annoyingly I'll have to register for 3 different names on the re-direct, which isn't cheap!
It's not down to me to teach them to use the central heating, and I really don't feel like being helpful as they're not returning a single penny of my deposit!0
