What exactly constitutes as harrassment by the landlord?

I had a bit of a bad conversation with the landlord, and I really hope it doesn't happen again. I am defintely moving out as soon as my lease ends, I don't want a landlord like that.
But, in case it happens consistenly, I would like to know what exactly is considered harrassment by the LL towards the tenant. I really don't want to put up with such rudeness if I can do something about it.

Harassment is action taken by your landlord to deliberately disrupt your life at home or make you leave.
A landlord could be guilty of harassment if they:
Won't let you live in your home in peace.
Act in a way that's meant to make you leave your home.
Try to take away your legal rights as a tenant.
Harassment can take many forms. It counts as harassment if your landlord or someone acting on their behalf:
Cuts off your gas, electricity or water supply.
Is violent or threatens you with violence.
Opens your mail or removes your belongings.
Your landlord could also be guilty of harassment if they enter your home without your permission or send builders in without notice or at unsocial hours.0 -

I see, so it doesn't involve making tennants uncomfortable or being rude? Ah well, I guess I'll have to just put up with him.0 -
Being rude isn't harassment it's just rudeness.
In what way did your LL make you feel uncomfortable?0 -
I had 4 x missed calls on my personal mobile and work phone after 9:00 at night, an email saying I will keep contacting you till you answer and then an email from a family member I have never met at 5am AFTER i had responded to my LL - when there was nothing urgent. They wanted to tell me that my property was apparently dirty, when check out STILL hasn't taken place and I still have a week left for my tenancy to run.
I certainly felt harassed.0 -
LLs should communicate in writing only, point that out to them . If they continue to all you, block their number.0

I wasn't giving an exhaustive list of what constitutes harassment I was just providing some examples.
Someone who continually bombards you with calls and emails whether they're your landlord, an ex, whoever is harassing you and you should not respond to their calls, texts and emails. As m0bov says, block the phone number and divert all their emails to the junk folder.0 -

There was no hot water so he sent an engineer down. He said to call him when he was here so I did. He told me not to tell him anything and to keep my mouth shut. He then said to tell the engineer that he (the LL) was my husband (I was really taken aback by this) and when I asked why, he said "For god's sake women, just do as I say". He then hung up on me, and later told my room mate the whole husband thing was because it'll take longer for the engineer to come if it's not his main property or something. He said all this in a threatening voice, so I got really angry at that.0 -

Oh jeez, that certainly looks like harassment. Hope I never have to deal with that.0 -

That's odd. I wonder if he has residential boiler cover rather than an insurance product designed for landlords? That would start alarm bells ringing for me.0
