So my post #35 dosn't 'balance the books' for you then? Maybe I need a hammer and chisel then. On second thoughts, nah. I'm perfectly comfortable and satisfied that I have made my point even though you won't agree. :o

    Well how about this

Not the plural in the first post.

So i'm only allowed to criticise irresponsible motorists but NOT irresponsible cyclists then? Or are you ignoring the fact that the latter exists?

    Probably my biggest question.
why do these threads exist against cyclists (in multiples) yet not on the motoring sections on motorists behaviours?

Only recently I contributed to a thread (on the motoring forum) about car lights. I took the opportunity to criticise drivers who don't know how/when to use their dipped head lights as that particular morning it had been persistently raining. As I noticed about 1 in 4 drivers who hadn't got any lights on at all, I suggested that DRLs were invented because of these incompetent drivers.

    Happy now? :D

you chose to reply to the post in its context. So either produce a decent counterargument or don't reply to it.
The core word being threads, not posts.

So why is it so hard for you and others to accept that some of us who are not card carrying members of the 'cycling is the solution to all our problem' brigade aren't prejudiced or have a dislike for individual cyclists. We just find the 'holier than thou' attitude, hypocrisy and undue influence that pro-cycling groups are now having on public policy to be extremely irritating and worthy of challenge on forums such as this.

And what about the arrogance, belligerence, and "holier than thou" attitude, hypocrisy and undue influence of pro-driving groups?

Are you blind to the enormously bullying power of the motorised masses? Drivers get upset when speed cameras rake in fines! They can't see that it's their own idiotic behaviour at fault. And then they campaign, and being so large and herd-like in mentality, they have an incredible influence in their desire to make roads more dangerous.

But some people just can't see beyond the tip of their nose.

Well make your mind up treacle.
You maligned your input not being accepted. It simply wasn't fit for purpose in the context to the post you quoted.
You can reply to any post you like, however dont bleat about it not being good enough when its not on message.

In post #223, you asked for a link to show that I am also critical of incompetent motorists. I duly provided one... sugar plum.

Nope.I made a post about threads being posted against cyclists. You provided a perfectly innocent thread topic in motoring. had you posted a thread about motorists not being able to use their lights, then maybe a bit closer.
