Blatant homophobic discrimination.
All this talk of agendas, drooling over and full on snogging is just a smoke screen to turn the event into something it (probably) wasn't.
This is the best post on this thread0 -
aww RichardD1970 thanks for the tshirt pic ! :j0

I wasn't saying that it proves anything, as the theory of evolution is still technically a theory (but it is clear on how we reproduce). I am merely pointing out that it is difficult, if not impossible, to argue that homosexuality is either natural or unnatural.0

If the security guard had been at a McD's in Michigan, his actions would have been legal. A trans friend of mine in NYC said that outside of NYC, LA or San Francisco it would be unsafe for me to wear a tshirt saying 'Some People Are Bi, Get Over It'.
States in the US are being forced to accept that a ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional. A rearguard action is being fought by some states, in the name of 'religious freedom' to allow bigotry and deny ppl perceived to be LGBT access to services - including emergency medical assistance.
There's a mismatch between what the laws state and what the population does.0 -
It's quite simple. It occurs in nature. Therefore it's natural.
a. Not in accordance with what usually occurs in nature: a tree with an unnatural shape.
b. Not included in nature; artificial: detergents and other unnatural chemicals.
2.
a. Deviating from a behavioral or social norm: a child's unnatural attachment to a doll.

If we considered everything in nature as natural then there would be no need for the word "unnatural", and one of us should write to the dictionary people about such a huge oversight (it won't be me).
Not disagreeing with you, but merely point out that it is unfortunately not as simple as "happens in nature, therefore natural".
(This is also ignoring the fact that nature, as we see it, may actually be unnatural. Physicists are developing some interesting theories which pertain to this possibility)0 -
And in some countries, homosexuality is punishable by the death sentence. There are far worse places to be gay than the US.
I know, you can look them up on https://www.equaldex.com
I was trying to give Caucasian examples bc someone earlier seemed to be implying that it was only NON-majority-population Caucasian people who have a prob with LGBT.
What constitutes natural or unnatural to scientists is getting too far down the rabbit hole for me personally - and is pretty far removed from the original post on homophobia at McD's, which some posters seem to condone.0 -
I cant believe this.
it seems stopping guys from kissing is a regular thing in this country.
A taxi firm is now reported of kicking two guys out of the taxi for kissing. The cabbie is reported to of told a group of men to
"get the f*** out of my cab"
one of the men kissed another on the cheek and neck (no lips this time).
The group of men were off out to a night club in Northern Ireland and were dumped at the side of the road at 11:30pm.
whats even more intriguing, is the same taxi firm was the official cab company for Belfast pride festival last year.

In Trinidad & Tobago, a place I have connections with, two consenting males is punishable for 25 years in prison. There is no protection for discrimination, employment or housing for LGBT people in T&T, and "active gay men are banned from giving blood"Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Sexuality is on a continuum. If you think of it as a river, gay and lesbian on one river bank, straight on the other and the rest in the middle. Those in the river are the majority, but the gay rights movement has largely been led by gay men.
People within the river wanted to be included and represented so the letters to represent us all get ever longer eg LGBTIQQA which still doesn't include everyone. It is tiresome sometimes but I can certainly understand the desire for community and inclusion.
I want to live my life without homophobia, and there are laws in place to give me and my community some protection, in the UK.
What I am isn't wrong, I'm a person, not a lifestyle choice nor point of view. Homosexuality etc seems to be seen by some posters as an abstract concept rather than something which actual people are. That's why I don't debate it. I am, we are, ppl can't wish us away.
