  • Well him leaving the scene is with the police, report filled in. CCTV wouldn't show her leaving until at least 30 mins later when her bf drove her to work.
He told his boss he tried to find her after she had driven off.
May get some further advice as we were told that it was our decision if we went through the insurance company and it only had to be passed to police coz of it being illegal to leave scene of an accident without giving details:(

Have the police told you what will happen next now the report has been filled in?

I had a similar situation happen to me and the driver ended up in court. I got a no fault claim and it was only on renewal the insurance company tried to put my premium up. We just moved companies and got a better deal than I was already on so it made no difference.

However, I was in a slightly different position as I contacted my insurance company and the police straight after it happened. I immediately went home and did a very detailed written account of the experience and of what exactly was said to make sure I got as much information down before I forgot anything.

I should also add that the driver had committed some other offences too e.g. ignoring give way road signs etc.

You may find the delay in contacting your insurance company may put you in a different position all together as it may reflect the others drivers claim that your DD drove off without leaving her details and you may just have to foot the bill.

However, it would be wise to seek advice as, regardless how you decide to proceed, it will be useful to know the best course of action to take should a similar situation arise in the future.

You're lucky you got it sorted, the amount of customers we go out to that have spent a lot longer trying to deal with them then give up because of the inanity of their answers and their call handlers is amazing. If we ran our company like theirs we would have been bankrupt a long time ago

As for the patching up we have to do after they have been to a customer, or tested a line as perfectly operational that is totally dead when we go to a customer :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Not nice for customers, but has to be about 10% of our trade :T

    Good morning everyone :hello:

What do we think about potentially cheap porridge?

Should be 51.8p a box for quaker porridge sachets.

This one is £1.29 at T so would be post-apg 58.1p/box (when bought in 2s)
Quaker Oat So Simple Strawberry Jam (10 per pack - 332g)

OR, you could buy this filler to compare in any shop (T,S,W) 500g for 65p or 70p dependent on your shop:D. Bigger size, better value. Been on for months (or maybe over a year now)

Sorry I don't have time to fully explain but all these items are now in 2 for £3 offer in A5da. The multi has not updated so should remain unseen all day if using my past studies of the MSM update routine as a guide. Even if the multi shows on msm at midday it should still remain unseen all day

    1 x McCain Micro Chips - Crinkle Cut (4x100g) £1.79 per unit

1 x McCain Original 5% Fat Oven Chips - Straight Cut (907g) £1.75 per unit

1 x McCain Original 5% Fat Oven Chips - Crinkle Cut (907g) £1.75 per unit

1 x McCain Rustic Oven Chips 3% Fat - Skin on (1Kg) £1.75 per unit

    1 x McCain Mexican Wedges (750g) £2.00 per unit

1 x McCain Home Chips Straight Cut (900g) £1.75 per unit

1 x McCain Home Chips Crinkle Cut (900g) £1.75 per unit

    1 x McCain Hash Browns (625g) £1.65 per unit

Copied from my emailed list thats why it looks funny :D 1 x McCain Mexican Wedges (750g) £2.00 per unit, these are only £1 in T and M so pay £3 and get APG for £2.20. Thats the best deal but the others do give a bit back so worth stocking up if its something you buy anyway :p

    Thanks just tried this xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

Totally agree. everytime I speak to someone, I get conflicting advice, then I'm told they action whatever needed doing. Only for me to ring back later and nothing been sorted. I took out broadband and 3 lines for work in July - have prob spoke to them 20 times and spent hours trying to work things out for myself.

My lady from today was as good as her word though and everything is sorted :T so I sent her a really nice email to say thanks :D If i could send biccies through the t'interweb, she'd have got a packet of them too :rotfl::p

Keep her name on file, she's a rarity!

We had a company move a little while ago, we had to do the normal handholding with the company, get them to tell BT they were moving, when and where to etc. BT got their phone lines in on time but different people install different parts of orders, they had to wait a FORTNIGHT after their moving date to get their broadband!!!! THEY ARE AN ONLINE COMPANY!! And we had told BT about this!!! They provided dongles when we put them under pressure, but the company were out in the middle of nowhere and we had to go to ridiculous lengths to get the dongles to connect :mad:

  • I'm not sure if I should post this theory because if someone tries it and I'm wrong I'll feel bad :o However I'm fairly confident this will work and I will test between 5:30 to 6pm, as long as MSM hasn't updated correctly at that time.

Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Extra Gentle Eye Make Up Remover (125ml) has only recently been added to the 3 for £5 offer on a5da.com. It shows on MSM if you search everything in that offer however when you click to see the comparison it's no longer showing the multi. This is the same as the yellow Domestos trigger from a few weeks ago. Therefore I think this will be a visible trigger.

    http://groceries.asda.com/asda-webstore/landing/home.shtml#/product/910001623465

It should return £4.86 on a £5 spend v Sainsbobs if combined with any combination of these 2 items:
Nivea Body Express Hydration Body Lotion (250ml)
Nivea Rich Nourishing Body Moisturiser (250ml)

I'll post results around 9pm. A long time to wait I know but I have to go to work  :( but don't worry, I think this will probably continue tomorrow if it works
    Hi Evangeline.

Just tried this but the Eye Make-Up Remover is not in the offer and the three items scanned at £10.26.

I asked the cashier to check that they were in the 3 for £5 offer before she started just so she could void them if they weren't. Unfortunately after they scanned at full price she felt obliged to call a soopy over who checked the sels, confirmed that the make-up remover was an ood sel and instructed the sa to override the items at 2 for £2 each and 1 for £1.

So in the end, they thought they were doing a wonderful job in giving a customer a good deal and I feel like a total noobie for letting them do it and ruin my apg.:o:rotfl:
