I think it's because people are sending them back if they do come, but still getting the apg.

Really !!! Think that's a bit below the belt.

Does anyone know if glade blackberry candles are still £1.25 in store? I want to order some for HD on Wednesday. I've fallen in love with them and now my whole family have been converted lol. I've searched but nobody has mentioned it lately. If nobody knows that's fine, will call up my 2 closest stores to ask.

    TIA

(The other store annoyingly went OOS of Glade Blackberry Candle and had no SEL, making it a 'carry over' item to the next store every time, but I'm no longer bothering with that as it's not been picking up £2.)

Well I answered my own question and yours too Savvy. Glade is still £1.25 in store and they subbed with the floral ltd edition one which smells AMAZING! And the unexpected bonus was that it compared to M at £2, so looks like it has finally picked up the correct price. I didn't even want the APG, just wanted the candles lol.

I am not buying toothbrushes, but could someone explain to me how it works. As far as I can see they are £35 on MSM and £35 in store and comparing at £17.50 which would mean they cost you £17.50 +10%. But that can't be right as people are making money on them. Thank You.

Some people are refusing them at collection time or checking they are oos before ordering, but ofc the APG goes off the order not what was collected.

I've not ordered toothbrushes by the way.

I'm pretty sure someone mentioned that they're RTC in store? Not too sure though.

I asked yesterday if they are cheaper instore but no one replied. I suspect they are but still best to check your store and only order if cheaper or OOS, hth :)

When I was self-employed I got one free session with an accountant who basically wanted to do my tax return for me. But it is so much easier now with the online stuff that I reckoned if I asked him to do it for me it wouldn't have saved much time at all, if any.

If you can cope with APGs then you can probably do your own accounts using Excel! Accounts much simpler than the contortions we get up to on here!

Thanks so much! To hornetgirl & Picasso. I'm certainly going to look into this. :T

Hello online chums and online chummettes. Hope everyone is well and you are not frozen through with this awful weather.

Just to let you know that various VITAMINS and MEN'S HAIRCARE/BODYWASH items are on CLEARANCE at BOOTS. Brands included Jointace, Jointage, Sanatogen, Multibionta, Topman, L'Oreal and a few others. It seems like they are doing 50% off and when they don't sell, dropping them down to 75% off. The vitamins are also on 3 4 2 which makes them an even better deal.

Also, further WOMEN'S HAIR DYE brands have been reduced also. I saw some more CLAIROL and L'OREAL which was discounted even further.

Finally, a lot of ATKINS/DIET products were also on clearance. Also, loads of CHERYL fake nails and eye lashes and other brands too on clearance. Some were down to 50p for a pack. Yardley body sprays down to 50p too.

This won't be in all stores, so please do not go especially, but do have a look if you are in town. Clearance stands are normally located towards the back of the store or near the tills.

My 2 boys have sleep overs quite often, one is 15 and the other 12, probably started about 8 years old.

I would rather their friends come to me, so I can keep an eye on them.

The other week, my ds2 asked if a friend could come to wales with us for the weekend, bearing in mind I dont know his friend or his parents, I said I would have to speak to his parents first.

Well ds2 came home on the friday night with his friend and his bags for the weekend, with a note from the friends dad, to say yes his son could come to wales  that was it no phonecall to see who I am, know telephone no to contact him, some very strange people  and now we cant get rid of him, he is here most weekends :mad:

Amy...I've just been reading back and you were asking yesterday about carpet cleaning....

Do you need to clean because you are moving from a rental property or because you are just moving and want to leave them clean for the next owner?
Reason I ask is because if its rental, then please check your rental agreement, some will ask for professional cleaning and some will ask for cleaning to a professional standard...
if your agreement says professional cleaning you may be asked to supply a receipt to prove this has been done....which may tie you into using a company to clean them....typically this will be between £100-£200....Ive just had to have a set of carpets done that way..hall,stairs landing 2 beds and 2 reception rooms...£160

If your agreement is "to professional standard" then you can indeed hire something like a rug doctor but again keep the reciept as proof if needed....

When you come to clean the carpets make sure you vacuum them really well, most dirt is surface and a good vacuum or even a brush with quite hard bristles can loosen most of the dirt making it easier to vaccum up.
Staining is a little different but unless the stain is embedded it usually will come out with the use of something like a rug doctor.
As others have said...if you are looking to buy something then a vax is a very good option.
