  • Been to see my third accountant today, again not impressed. Maybe it's true, nobody cares more about your money than you do. Maybe I'm wanting someone who simply doesn't exist.

All this has lead me to thinking that perhaps this is something I could do myself, perhaps do a night course just to brush up on the basic's. Not only is this likely to save me money, it will add to my skill set and hopefully pay for itself for the time taken in the long run.

Off to do some research. Have a good day everyone

Has everyone seen the little box on the right with the note about Ideal Home Show tickets being given away tomorrow? Good opportunity for an elite get together maybe. I think PD said she was going to be there?

Aye every day by the look of it  I wish it were still at Earl's Court, that place is a trek as it is, let alone going that bit further to Olympia.

I don't know whether they still do them, but the Inland Revenue used to run free workshops for people just starting out as self employed. Might be worth checking with the tax office.

    Tenth Anniversary
    Afternoon peeps, :)

Just back from A's and noticed the pink poo is now £2.97 and not in the 3 for £10 offer. :(
Was there another trigger? I thought that somebody found one. I haven't seen the vv pink impulse anywhere!

I am not buying toothbrushes, but could someone explain to me how it works. As far as I can see they are £35 on MSM and £35 in store and comparing at £17.50 which would mean they cost you £17.50 +10%. But that can't be right as people are making money on them. Thank You.

Nanny, I hope your day has been ok? Although not mentioned it (literally snuck on whilst in the loo at work!) been thinking of you today.

Think I've missed a bit as scrolled through fairly fast, will try and catch up.

I think it's because people are sending them back if they do come, but still getting the apg.

When I was self-employed I got one free session with an accountant who basically wanted to do my tax return for me. But it is so much easier now with the online stuff that I reckoned if I asked him to do it for me it wouldn't have saved much time at all, if any.

If you can cope with APGs then you can probably do your own accounts using Excel! Accounts much simpler than the contortions we get up to on here!

Came on here to say that I have just discovered that if you have a gmail address, you can add or remove a . (dot/full stop) before the @ without it making any difference at all to the delivery. May be useful next time there are free soup vouchers!
