I think you should be asking at what age is it "NOT" ok for a sleep over party! ;-)
Mixed sex sleepovers are OK so long as you are happy with what is "very" likely to occur.

Or not, depending on your attitude to sex.
  • Can I ask a question...

At what age do you think is ok for a sleep over party... Boys and girls ?
    thanks

I've always thought it depends on the kids involved, I would say 7 to about 11 or 12, the problems being shyness and puberty. Might also be worth remembering that it is not normally a sleepover, more a nighttime playdate, and there will be little sleep to be had by the parents too.

I know a couple of my DS' friends have had a sleepover (8yrs) but mine wouldn't, even if they were ready - i'm not lol.
They also haven't asked to have anyone here, and i'm leaving it as long as possible :rotfl:
  • Thanks to those who have replied:)

DD is 8. I said she could go to the party but not sleep over but we've had tears etc as she says she will be the only one not staying:(

Don't know the parents very well...sounds like it will be boys and girls Maybe Im being over protective but we live in a sometimes scary world.

My dd is 9. I would allow her to a girls sleepover but not with boys. I just don't feel it's appropriate x

Seeking a bit of advice about Tesco boost (instore double-up on Hudyl accessories).

    1) Wanted to buy £12.50 case.
    2) Had a £10 clubcard voucher.
    3) Converted it to instore 2x£10 vouchers.

The SA then got all confused, said I'd lose change and got me to use:
1 of the £10 boosted coupons + £2.50 cash to pay for the Case.

She said the remaining £10 boosted coupon will automatically go back to my account if not used for a period of time. I pointed out that the boosted £10 expires Aug 15 and said I didn't want to wait that long.

She assured me it would get re-credited back long before then (which doesn't make any sense to me).

She wasn't budging so I got her to write what she said, and her name on the remaining coupon.

Any thoughts would be be very welcome. TIA.

I thought once CC vouchers were switched to boost vouchers they were the same as normal vouchers i.e once expired they've gone, I don't think they get re added to your account. Perhaps try ringing T's CC?

A question on Morries Match and More. (Don't worry if my light goes red - I'll be back later to catch up with any answers.) If you have points added manually e.g. from a womble do they ever still show in your account or do the £5 vouchers when spat out still take account of the manually-added points even though they never show in the account? I have my account still showing with just one £5 voucher and several points to go to the next one. I had points added (far more than 72 hours ago) so that I am now at a second £5 voucher. Yet it's still just showing the amount I collected on my last shop. Does it always just show amounts from last shops and any manually-added points don't show, but do get counted in the voucher amount due when you next buy a single carrot or whatever? Will it be at one £5 from my last shop or will it be at two x £5 from the total with the manual points even though they aren't showing and don't show as earning a voucher in my account? (My account's last info. is still my last shop where, immediately at the end of that transaction, I earned just one £5 voucher.)
I realise I've probably asked the same question numerous times in different ways above lol.

    Thank you for any help.

My manually added points showed the same afternoon
I would ring HO, I think you need to keep a close eye on their match and more points, I only got £15 vouchers yesterday when my account told me I could withdraw £20 from a shop last week. And I had to pay 18p for a tiny banana to get them (did you know they don't weigh fruit in a Morrie's local?) HO sorted it he manually readded my points and said he could see at his end that my voucher had somehow got stuck in the system

Also I can't remember who it was who was asking about getting the missing more points from a biscuit shop they forgot to use their M&M card. Sorry been skim reading.....this happened to my sister snd I phoned HO and they manually added the 10000 more points with an extra 1000 points for the inconvenience!

By the way Savvy I forgot to say I think Morrison's HO is a 0345 number which is local rate and you can ring from your mobile. Also if you have a smartphone you can download an app called weq4u and you can ring 0845 or 0800 numbers from your mobile using it
Alternatively I have also used the site called "saynoto0870" very useful and gives alternative numbers for most major companies

That's was my reaction...plus it will be the first time she's stopped out other than occasionally at Grandmas.

    Good afternoon all...

I've been away for a few days and its amazing how just a little time out can make you feel so much better.

Special hugs to Nanny....they say the pain gets easier but I think its just a case of you learn to adjust to it...anniversaries are always hard but he's forever in your heart x

I did a M shop this morning to make use of the vouchers from last week, and whilst I didnt buy any the biscuit signs were all still up and stock available.
I took a wander across to the aldi opposite and was also able to womble a recipt for the 25p on CS ...not a great achievement in itself but I guess it all adds up to the long term savings.

We are going to attempt a frugal Feb...and so far the total groceries spend is £4.38...Im going to update the bottom box to hopfully keep a running total for the month
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

I agree, i would do the same, especially as you don't know the parents very well.
Maybe start with a Mum you do know well and see how she gets on, have her DD to you, and then hopefully your DD can go to them, then its a kind of compromise without you looking like the bad guy in your DDs eyes?
