    Morning all.
I am joining the many and actually starting to make more of a note of my savings .i have given myself a cash budget to stick too .im going to only try and spend vouchers and PayPal money from cashback sites( using my paypal debit card)

Had some brilliant news last night... It looks like the scum bag that abused my dd2 and reversed into her car has been identified:T
There is only 1 way in and 1 way out of where I live and I asked at every house that had CCTV and have come up trumps. I now have a clear DVD recording of the van entering and leaving, time stamped and know who the van belongs too.So this is being passed to the police this evening:D

Ooh I have just remembered what u came on here to ask. Is anyone else finding tcb snap and save very slow at confirming?
    :)

That is great news Well done on tracking down the van

    Morning everyone :)

Kettles on - anyone else got time for a cuppa before starting their day?

Thoughts with those facing challenging times, especially Snap and fourp and also those carrying a weight on their shoulders unshared.

Misjudged stuff needed for packed lunches today :o. Resulting in some interesting combinations :)

Good luck to those hoping for a NSD and happy shopping to those venturing out.

The garnier 3 in 1 trigger is on A.com so good for c&c or HD shops for the time being - is it still missing on msm? (I can't see it). May only work for a short while.

I agree with a lot of what you say, FC :T

People shouldn't be shamed or guilted into giving to foodbanks. If you want to that's great, if you don't then that's fine.

Where I disagree slightly (but not entirely) is on the condescending part. :( I eat the same biscuits so I'm not giving anything I wouldn't use myself. I shared around family, friends, work colleagues and after deciding what to keep for ourselves I donated the excess.

I am, however, all too aware that someone on the receiving end might very well say "Biscuits?! Why are they donating biscuits! I'd rather have a tin of soup than a pack of biscuits. Is this person so far removed from reality that they really thought I would want biscuits?!"

I'm not that clueless but soup simply isn't glitching. It's not like I set out to buy £x of food to donate and made a conscious choice to buy biscuits with it.

I give in the hope that it goes to someone who appreciates it as a treat they otherwise might not have had.

From a selfish point of view I feel good for giving and I have fewer biscuits to fatten myself with :rotfl:

Morning all. Hope everyone is well.
    I share this view aau.
    xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Reminder, if you ordered an A SIM for the free £20 bundle, it needs activating and claiming today.

Second reminder, if you partook in the Quality Street HD/C&C at the start of January and haven't had other orders, your evouchers may be near expiry. Something prompted me to look and spotted all my vouchers were due to expire tomorrow (so no C&C for a month  where did January go? - my stores were rubbish with the RTC :(). Order placed ... then cancelled and evouchers extended a month :).

    Morning all :hello:

It's dark and still mostly night time here!

I agree with aau1 (but couldn't have put it as well), the gist of what I've read on here was that some people had switched from 10p sweets to tins for foodbank and getting extra biscuits above what they would have normally.

There was a post about an encounter with a non-mse who was condescending about premium biscuits at the foodbank drop off point, the response on here was 'oh how horrible'

Unless we have had posts removed... or maybe because I don't read between the lines and haven't picked up on something?

Personally I only give items I would be happy using myself - my local one has a shopping list of what's in need and they have biscuits on there.

I don't mean to be argumentative but I like to think we can discuss such things on here, this place is so good when it's running peacefully.

Happy Monday everyone - have a good one whatever you are doing!

  • Good morning :)

Really don't want to go in work today but not upto doing anything around the house either so I'll drag myself in. Tomorrow I have a job interview at the Italian restaurant I mentioned so I'll call in sick tomorrow. I'm not risking my boss stressing me out again when I have something this important to do.

Before anyone accuses me of skiving we don't get paid anyway for being off sick. I thought when I started that I was working with nice people and for the most part I am, except I found out that my female boss is not a nice person and she makes most days I'm there unpleasant :( We even have to pay £10 a month for hot drinks  I've had a lot of jobs before but never had to pay for brews :( So really hoping I can get my head together tomorrow and get this other job

    :)

Actually looking forward to going to work to avoid Fourp :(

I can't mentally deal with his mood :(

I know the saying is you take it out on your nearest & Dearest but I'm worn out from his sniping & bitterness
I've tried rising above it - tried being super nice, tried suggesting a day out, let's sit by the sea & watch the waves & eat salty chips, but he can't be helped at the moment :(

I hid in bed yesterday :o
