  • You're right about the Gap burgers! I accepted one of these calls because it had a premium fee attached to it. It was about 200 miles from home so I accepted it as a free lunch since I had video calls in the area and my mileage was being paid for. I had completed half of my video calls when I arrived at the Gap burger shop. I turned my camera on as I entered the shop so that I could use the recording to obtain exact timings. The service was slow and customers were complaining. The manager could be heard in the back of the shop shouting and swearing at the staff. He then appeared in the front of the shop to do the same to the staff there. When an old lady rebuked him for his foul language she found herself subjected to the same treatment. I made a point of sitting at a table with the old lady and discussing the managers behaviour towards her - all recorded on camera. Needless to say every answer and comment in my report was queried by the shop manager. I sent Gapbuster the video footage. End of queries and quite possibly the end of a blossoming career in retail management!

I recently passed Doncaster and we decided to stretch our legs and have a stop during the drive and found out there was a shopping centre near the motorway. When we drove in I saw a burger place, now I wasn't mystery shopping but I think it would be the same chain. Regardless, perhaps both main burger chains would have the same issues. Anyway the manager was awful to the staff. Not swearing, but he was constantly telling the girl serving us what to do and her face was tripping her (no wonder!). It was totally unprofessional. He must have been trying to get her to walk out, surely. It was like 'get on that till'. Then it was 'get on that other till'. etc. He was awfully rude. If I wasn't vegetarian I'd have been liked to have ordered the mystery shop order and ask for a receipt. I don't work for gap though, so I have no idea what the order is.

Gap don't want me :( Have tried to register a few times and they must have too many in my area, or maybe not enough shops.

You need to actually taste the food so a vegetarian wouldn't be able to complete the shop unless they were prepared to 'turn'!

I've been doing GAP burger jobs with no problems for 6 months or so. Most months there seems to be a quick re-test of 3-4 questions before you can book any jobs for that month. I've passed the eat-in re-test with no problem, but this month there is a question on when to record the time at a drive-thru if you are asked to pull out of line and park up whilst your food is prepared.

I'm sure the answer used to be in either the training document or assignment notes - but no sign of it now. After getting the 2nd attempt wrong I ended up messaging GAP staff, who told me the answer was A. Then, even after putting that it, I got it wrong and being the 3rd attempt had a message saying I had to retake the original training (about 20 questions).

Went back to take the massive 20 question test - and it said I'd already done it - and it let me go ahead and book jobs with no further tests.
  • I've been away from the game for a while. Is it true that TNS are no longer operating??

They have a few financial jobs allocated over the phone but that is about it.
  • That's a shame, I didn't mind their phone jobs.

Is there a new list of companies available? I think the one at the beginning of the thread is about three years old. I wonder if there are any new ones since that list.
