I'm back after about a year break? Anything new? Changed? Or still same old, same old?
Same bizarre scenarios, but generally for a lower fee.0 -
Evening all,
Just to let everyone know that a certain pay TV provider has recently transferred their mystery shopping contracts from the great mystery shopping company that is GfK, over to the terrible company that is Market Force. When browsing the Market Force site earlier I was gobsmacked to find that this pay TV provider was now using them.
I've been doing mystery shops for this provider through GfK for years and am gutted. Not only is the fee no longer as good, we now have to endure Market Force's awful report submission system. For shame on you, anonymous pay TV provider! You should have stayed with GfK! They're a much better company!
Edit: Admin, please don't delete this post - no company has been named and I haven't mentioned the amount the fee has been decreased by.0 -

Its a shame when Market Farce get hold of jobs that were with a different agency as it always means that the fees are always get reduced significantly. I won't be doing these jobs for MF as apart from the fee they have that essay style question 'describe your entire visit' from beginning to end, so not only have they reduced the fee but added significantly to the reporting required. However when they were put on the MF board for my area, they got snapped up so there are people willing to do them. A topic much debated but as long as people are willing to do the jobs for the fees, then MF will continue to put up jobs with low fees.0 -
Totally agree with you, Larac.
I was equally as disappointed a few months ago when a certain convenience store chain withdrew their contract from Retail Maxim and transferred its mystery shopping jobs to Market Force. The fees more than halved!
I was a little disappointed for Retail Maxim too, as they're only a small company and need all the contracts they can get. Their report systems are a little old-fashioned, but it's really easy to submit a report for them and I like the way they do business.0 -

I've signed up to do a MS for MF. Suddenly the reimbursement has halved as they made a mistake yet last time I did the shop I got paid more as a reimbursement than the amount they are now offering. I think MF should make sure the amount doesn't decrease to below the last amount.0
