  • I have the ridiculous amount of questions for one person task. The store is tiny. There are 3 full time staff and 3 different counters all next to each other. Although I'm pretty sure I'm the only click and collect customer also, but they still get it wrong. And that store don't even prepare the order - it arrives from elsewhere. Shoot me now.

A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work
  • My week just gets better and better. GAP are getting ridiculous with their DIY store shopping list visits. Four 2.4 metre long pieces of timber and four 1.2 metre sheets of ply/hardboard on this one. If they think I'm manoeuvring that lot here, there and everywhere, they are sadly mistaken. Another one cancelled. It's about time they gave a warning at the application stage for those of us who can't handle those sort of weights. The first 6 jobs I did for this client were manageable. The last 2 have been impossible for me.
  • Does anybody else really struggle with BARE website?

I've only done a little MS'ing but am fairly competent with a computer and am put off doing work because I struggle uploading the reports/photos. Always getting error messages.

Got more free time now so logged on to apply for another job. Found a suitable one, you have to select a date from the calendar when you will go though they have not set the site up correctly and there are no selectable dates. No obvious email for the job manager. Somewhat frustrating.

    Might try another company.

TBH - I thought the whole scenario 'screamed of MS' as nobody in their right mind normally does what the brief suggests so have avoided. I would also think you would be restricted how many re-visits to stores you can do as you will get picked out as the 'nutter' who keeps returning umpteen items.

Blimey, who in their right mind thought that was a reasonable scenario for a mystery shop. I've not done one of the DIY jobs and had no idea you might have to come along with your own forklift!

i have done the audit a few times so as long as you do the shopping list thing and don't out yourself it is fine.

Notepad, pen and am I bothered? Personally. I move that fast they don't really have time to do anything about it.

Although this time just as I was picking my mars bar up and going to the self scan they did put a hurried call out for checkout staff.... bit late.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

At that point, I'd invoice the clients head office. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. Don't involve yourself with the store in case of future work in there for better agencies.

I do sympathise -I think we all have had jobs which have not been paid due to some issue. This year I have had the debacle with non payment with Streetbees on the technology audit and currently not sure whether I am going to get paid for an audio - due to sound quality issues. (Not my fault the employee decided to conduct the interview , front of house, with a radio blaring and spoke very quietly. Therefore won't be in a hurry to do any work for Streetbees or an ESA audio, given the faff involved.
