For the GR job I just walk along talking into a phone with the voice recorder . The only time these jobs can be a real faff is in the lead up to Xmas.

I think you must be talking about a different job. This is just a watered down version of the usual supermarket visit, with one purchase and some obs. There's less danger of revealing yourself.

Just an observation about the tax and being self employed.

Bear in mind I have always been on a payroll and it is new to me. I was horrified to discover that it's not just a case of putting down your earnings for MS which I have no problem with. Suddenly they want to know about my dividends (I have the odd shares) but I have already been taxed on them so why??

also any other money so for example so this isn't so good if you are due a payment from a savings scheme or mortgage endowment policy which will mature to pay off your house which has been saved out of your O/Hs taxed income.

If you don't have to let them know about it as PAYE person why do they need to know about it now I am earning the odd bit of pin money MS shopping. Just bewared, it has really put me off this whole thing.

also the revenue are not interested in the reimbursements. I did speak to someone about this from their office.

Agree - it just a count job with no reveal. I have done it for them along time ago and continued to be offerred their other jobs.

Ah, you are right. I thought this was the till check one, that was a reveal or at least there was a big chance you would be revealed.
