    For the GR job I just walk along talking into a phone with the voice recorder . The only time these jobs can be a real faff is in the lead up to Xmas.

  • Just an observation about the tax and being self employed.

    Bear in mind I have always been on a payroll and it is new to me. I was horrified to discover that it's not just a case of putting down your earnings for MS which I have no problem with. Suddenly they want to know about my dividends (I have the odd shares) but I have already been taxed on them so why??

    also any other money so for example so this isn't so good if you are due a payment from a savings scheme or mortgage endowment policy which will mature to pay off your house which has been saved out of your O/Hs taxed income.

    If you don't have to let them know about it as PAYE person why do they need to know about it now I am earning the odd bit of pin money MS shopping. Just bewared, it has really put me off this whole thing.
  • also the revenue are not interested in the reimbursements. I did speak to someone about this from their office.

    Agree - it just a count job with no reveal. I have done it for them along time ago and continued to be offerred their other jobs.

    Ah, you are right. I thought this was the till check one, that was a reveal or at least there was a big chance you would be revealed.
