OOOh I will, I'm setting aside Saturday afternoons for filling in applications - v exciting I know. The jobs on council website get posted every Friday as a rule.
So I shall be a good girl. Would be lovely to know I have some financial security for after summer. I can't wait to get cracking with this house now though.
Compo from crash came through finally. Not as much as I was hoping for but it's enough to help us buy some of the stuff for the house we need....phew!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Well honeymoon was FANTASTIC! Loved it loads.Loving married life too! Yey!
Finished my first school placement with flying colours and have 3 job applications that I need to get on with filling in. Phew! It's all go at my end. Back to uni for a month starting monday before a 12 wk placement at my new school.
I'm pooped just thinking about it all.
We've had a costly start to the year with car troubles and various other unexpected expenses. I'm kinda hoping thats the end of it now though and we'll be on the up from this moment onwards.
Right, I'd better set about some tidying up before the OH gets back from rugby. He's such a pain sometimes, but I love him! lol.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Hmm...just submitted the meter readings for the gas and electricity. Electricity we are in credit. Gas we owe an extra £96!! The rates haven't gone up - I checked! How on earth have we used so much gas??
I can only assume it's because of the heating. OMG....we pay £45 per month on a direct debt, over 3 months the extra £96 has accumulated. Wow, I'm gob smacked. Think we need to do something about that!
It's only a 2 bedroomed house. Fair enough it's old and we don't have many doors on as of yet - the DIY was abandoned because of our courses....it shall commence in summer - but still. An extra £96 has left me gob smacked!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Woo hoo....just won another tenner on the lottery, we won £79 last week...v exciting.
Although I've just spent the tenner on pens, pencils and envelopes etc....yawn.
Went back to uni today....man, I'm pooped. It's such hard work. We've got an assignment due in on Monday, an Alevel lesson to prepare and teach for 2 weeks time, then another assignment for 2 weeks after that. Then we have some other project to complete on top! All to sort out within 3 wks. YAWN! I'm tired already just thinking about it.
Just got a final reminder from BT for the bill I apparently only paid half off for some reason, must have been having a funny that day.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I feel really bad. I've spent over £500! I shouldn't have spent it really but I just "needed" stuff.
I got a printer (a really good one) which I need for work really, then I got ink for said printer, then a planner for work and some clothes, some of which were for work. Granted I probably didn't need as much as I actually got, but I just couldn't help myself.
So I tried to cheer myself up by signing up for this years Race For Life, but that costs money too. So to make it worth my while I need to get as much sponsorship as possible.
Last year I failed to reach my £100 target (despite still doing it after being in a car crash). This year I really wanna reach it, plus it might make up for that massive amount of money I've just spent....oophs!
Incidently, if anyone wants to sponsor me then you can do so on my website.... http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/rachelappleby
Thanks in advance in case anyone does.
Argh! So cross with myself for spending all that money!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Ok in a bid to get over the guilt of spending all the money I have, I've gone back to making meal plans for the week.
So yesterday OH went to supermarket to get all the bits we can't get from the market. And this morning I went to the market to get all the meat and veg.
So I reckon not only have we saved a few bob, we are also going to be eating pretty healthy this week! It's a pancetta and leek pasta type dish tonight....yummy!
Watching the 6 nations is saving me a few bob too....although I think the Ireland games been a bit slow. Hope the Wales game is as good as I think it will be! Sooooo excited!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Thought I'd try and make some extra money playing free bingo....but alas, it just eats into you time and therefore in my book is counter productive.
When will I learn. Gotta do at least one of my applications later. I will I will I will! I've finished one assignment anyways. And before doing the application I'm going to check ebay for book selling and then get the OH up. Bless him!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
